Early Barracuda Car-**** Picture thread.

-
Here is one that I picked up this summer. 65 Non Formula S 273 Hipo. Plan to start the resto next summer once my dart is complete. Plans are to pull the running 273 and make some upgrades. Already been collecting parts. Front disc brake swap, 8 1/4, later 904 and have everything to build the 349 stroker motor.
Is this the same car I saw in Natches, Washington about ten years ago? Sure looks like it.

Well, if you can call working on it a few hours per year progress.:burnout:

1966 Barracuda

Black with the white
Stripes Just like
Seabee's. Strange,
I was a Seabee too.

My friend Bill's '66- a 273 commando 4-speed survivor. Original paint & interior:

gorgeous barracuda and complete with Baby Seat in the back. Probably not many with that "option" installed.

had this shipped over last year to the UK. originally a Commando 4 speed but on closer inspection it now has a '67 318 with all the Commando dress up bits and four barrel. oh well.

plan is the sin of all sins and convert to RHD. (i had a LHD '68 318 4 speed Barracuda 20odd years ago and it always felt like i was an in control passanger.)

anyway the plan is to keep this 'Cuda for a very long time.

it already has the Heavy Duty suspension with front sway bar but it still feels very soft compared to what we are used to in the UK. so it'll get stiffer suspension as well as bracing the body.

colour wise i'm not sure yet but a light colour slightly mat with shiney chrome and wheels. maybe even a shiney Formula S stripe?

lots to do
