Here is our latest build fresh off the dyno. Its not a Barn burner but interesting non the least.

Its for a racer that runs in a restricted 2bbl class and has to run stock un-ported heads, stock iron intake, yup you guessed it un-ported. Limited to 11.1 to 1 compression, .500" lift, 1 Holley 4412 2bbl carb, non roller cam.

We built his last engine and he Wiped the track up with those silly little 350 chuvys. Won every race but 2 and took the Championship by a mile. That was a 400 and it broke an axle shaft and tore up a trans, those were the 2 races he didnt win. The rest were run-aways for him. That 400 made 357HP 455TQ.

This year we upped the ante a little with a 440. 1 class up from the 400 engine so the rules were a little more free, but not much. Little bigger solid cam, small tube shorty headers, and roller rockers. Thats about it.

Power time.

HP peaked at 4800-5100 at around 410HP
TQ peaked somewhere below where we started, but made 490+TQ from 3000-4100

This is not bad considering the setup. Stock UNPORTED 452 heads with 2.08/1.77 valves and a 1967 bone stock 4bbl intake. 239/251 cam with .500" lift.

I know I know, GOLD AND BLACK???? Its the color scheme of his main sponsor so we had to bow down to that a little.

Circle track, makes for interesting combination's. (Nice numbers,...). Would be curious, what class this ends up in.(factory stock/hobby stock????).

As always, nice work Mike!!!

I can understand the 500lbs, but barely over idle is just nuts with a 3.75" stroke :D. And 400+hp either side of 5k with that combo is another "feat of strength". You are the Man. :thumleft:

Next week for yours my friend. Im all giddy to see what it does and how well the EZ 2.0 really does work. I got a 500 going on tomorrow.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to share. Maybe we made this a little to powerful? He writes
"The 440 is doing ok. Still can’t keep the rear end from breaking. Almost had the front end off the ground coming out of a turn so if I can ever beef it up enough, it will be a rocket. I will keep going if for no other reason than it is so much fun stepping on the gas. 6 rear ends to be exact. Tore the splines off one, twisted another, broke the housing, broke the perch, and the other two escape me for now but it really is like being in a rocket. I will get it right someday."

Thats some funny stuff right there.
