curious to hear who is the "go to" Mopar builder in your area.... How many of you ship your motors across states for a good builder.

I don't have a MOPAR specific machinist BUT...I do have a friend who is a machinist at the local CARQUEST here in Omaha and he is generous enough the value my input. His quality is just great and he has some good equipment. It seems that the machine shops are drying up all over the place and the mopar specialty shops are expensive.
 
Damon Kuhn, Diamondback Engines near Houston. Mechanical engineer, racer (used to own and race his own funny car, now NSS), built Nascar and many classes of NHRA engines. One of the most knowledgeable and best Mopar engine builders in the country.
 
besides me lol it would have to be Jim and Cody Laroy.
 
Wagamon Brothers in the Twin Cities. They might be good for a chevy or ford motor but when I had to explain what would and would not work on my engine when they built it I knew right away.

Of course my feelings were correct. It dropped the #6 cylinder on break in. Had to bring the entire car to them for another 2 months last summer. I could just keep going and going about them, but I think you get the picture.

Although for a good shop. Line Performance is good. That is Jason Lines brother. Lance builds my brothers drag car engines.
 
Jerry Jackson--- Hillsboro, Or. He's been a Mopar speed mech for years. He fired up my 340 and adjusted my mech lifters. Sounds rad can't wait to get on the road and to Woodburn drag strip. 503-307-7255

I assemble my own, the attitude at the machine shop I use is = motors is motors, they all do the exact same thing.

Well..I ain't got someone that I am aware of close to me that knows mopars as much as I would like. But I can say Rusty's (Rob) building mine....:)
 
Gary at Larry's Automachine, Groton CT is the only place I recommend for CT, RI, and southeastern MA.

I've shipped engines to customers in CA, MN, NV, FL. Delivered to CT,MA, NY, NH,and RI. Shipping is a small price to pay for success.
