With all these car building shows, I got to thinking. Which show would I trust to build my car and who would I run from.

I think it would be a toss up between Overhauling and Graveyard Cars to build a car for me. Overhauling only if Chip didn't get to modern with my car.

No way in hell I would let Fast & Loud near my car. Looks like a bunch of hacks.

I know it's TV and not all real but the time frame and cutting corners some of these shows do on cars makes me sick.

I have a friend that working on the A team of Overhauling and as good as everyone is you just cant build a car in 7 days. Never seen graveyard but the reality it is past jobs, look up what they have done, find out how happy the owner is and how the car is holding up after a couple years...

None of them, I wouldn't trust them to build it MY way. They would just throw a cookie cutter big engine in it and same kind of thing with the suspension. I wonder if "pimp my ride" or shows like that ever get sued for screwing up a car because they went about things the wrong way as far as the owner is concerned?

I hear ya. Watching a show and they took an all original car and threw away a lot of the stuff to put in an air ride system. Some things can't be put back once it has been messed with.

I totally respect Foose's talent as a designer, but to me he never keeps enough of the car to reflect its roots. But then, I am not a fan of all these modern wheels like he designs. I would REALLY like to see how well he could do a total nut and bolt restoration. I bet it would be second to none.

I wouldn't trust any of them .....I would feel like I had to redo the car to make sure its right.....I see it like no cares about your car like you do.....having a car is like having a kid around that others will beat up but you will cherish.

If I was forced to pick though ....graveyard cars would be my pick because they have a huge knowledge of how these cars went together from the factory and they take pride in preserving cars the way they were.

Foose is a joke ......he is a good one to do your car if you are a Rapper.

I used to warn my family that if they tried to get my car on one of those shows that it wouldn't go very good.

A girl's muscle car is like a baby cub.......do you really want to see the teeth and claws come out......I can bite

I like my rust and faded paint ....because its my rust and faded paint

For Me, hands down it would be Foose with one rule...no tonka toy wheels!! Other than that I like his style. Graveyard Cars would my choice for a nut and bolt on a MOPAR.

Overhaulin because it won't cost me much of anything to get a Hemi powered custom car done and GYC because they are Mopar guys and know how they should be built.I'd prefer free though...

assuming i'll have say in the process i'd pick the foose. the guy is an artist..

gas monkey guys i'd have a few beers with but no way i'd let them touch my car.

graveyard i don't know. some of those cars look awful nice when they are done but they are too stock looking for me and still not sure about their work. see like a bunch of douchebags but thats probably an act for tv.

Gas Monkey is ??, Aaron is a talented mechanic, but I didn't like it when they had a real nice Dodge truck, then put a damn chevy crate motor in it....... That lost it for me. Here was this real nice truck, and they all of a sudden went cheap on it. Not a big fan of theirs ever since.

GYC it is. Its a shame the show is 28 minutes of made up, stupid, unbelievable, drama and 2 minutes looking at someone working on a car. Havent watched in a looooong time.

X2 on both of these comments. I cringe when I watch most of these shows. Watched an episode of Fat and furious last night and had to change the channel, just not reality! I would say Graveyard cars would be my pick. I have also warned my family to never even consider touching one of my cars without my knowledge. I see one of my cars with 20'' foose wheels and someone is in trouble!

The guys at Midwest Street Cars off of Street Outlaws. Never like anything off of overhauling or the *** monkeys.

From what I was told Overhaulin you have to pay for parts and labor is free.

if I had an insane amount of money to make disappear counts customs .

I would go with Overhaulin with a couple of conditions.

1. I get to kick Foose in the crotch if he paints my car two tone where it never belonged.

2. It would have to be daily drivable as far as fuel economy and gearing for the occasional freeway trips.

I would agree on this. Foose has talent and gas monkeys would only be good for drinking buddies.

I would get Peter Kluke of Ledgendary motor cars. Peter seems pretty sharp. The fat guy on the show is a dweeb so he stays away. The bulk of these shows are just stupid. Sad that the public watches shows like honey boo boo. American public has become a bunch of morons!

All the shows mentioned has some talented people turning wrenches. But, Fat and Furious the other night had a real nice stock SS with the LS 454. Changed it. All the cars from these shows get changed around too much for my taste. I would be happy with people experienced with Mopars working on them. I have just about everything for my car. I would not want a hemi in it. First, second, even third gen...No!! Too cliche. But that's me. Also, I have heard these cars are then appraised so high, that the owners can no longer afford them. Just give me a nice dependable car that won't break my wallet to have.

Don't forget the two Wheeler Dealer guys, screwy as hell, but I do watch it now and again.

Fat n' Furious.....I pick these guys, love this show..:glasses7:
