Just watched last nights show with a Superbird. Next week a Barracuda!!

As far as these type of shows goes, this one is funny.

You can make a drinking game out of the show. Drink every time the word "stinkin" is used. LOL

I couldn't stand the stupidity, I had to shut it off after those fat idiots told them they needed 30 grand to build a slow 440

Yes I couldn't see where 30K went.

For the most part I have defended the car shows as just entertainment and people should lighten up but man .....Fat and Furious changed that. The mis-information is so blatant it's unreal. They pulled a 440 out of a SuperBird to build a better 440 for it.When they went to put it back in they had to move the steering box to clear the "bigger" motor. Do they have any technical oversite at all? I was kinda excited guys that look like me( fat and bald) had a show but man this one is hard to swallow.

For me I leave my home to see the "real" world. When I turn on the TV or computer it's just to entertain myself with stupid people. Kinda like going to Walmart.

They have some good looking cars but they are full of it. They adjusted the jets on the nitrous last week and cut 2 sec off the Vegas time. Ever thing runs in the 8s.

people see those inflated TV dollars, now they will think a rebuildable 318 will be worth 5 grand. stupid show. just build the cars man. damn I wish they would d a night time powerblock.

For 30K that Bird would have been in the mid 120's in the 1/4 if it left my place.

where to begin , I sent the show an email begging them to stick to Furds and Bowties because they haven't got a clue when it comes to Mopar , first it wouldn't have been a 440 if he stroked it , then it still would have the same external dimensions , then breaking the ball joint with a pickle fork ? , and of course the topper a 750 eddy carb ? that thing would have fallen on it's face at 80 mph with a 750 , assuming it even got to that speed , I know these shows are glorified ads to sell bolt on parts but at least try to sell us the correct parts . I am dreading next weeks show and wondering which of our members took their notch to these clowns . I'm with Cracked for 30k it would have needed a licensed pilot , hell MRL puts the same power they claimed in it's $6500 classic cruiser 440 , add 100hp and 100ftlbs and the price is $8500 .

From the Discovery Channel web site:

Owned and operated by Tommy Christmas, Christmas Automotive specializes in fixing up old muscle cars — helping car owners with their need for speed. With a waist size that rivals the Rust Belt itself, Tommy and his crew know all the tricks to make any car go furiously faster on the race track. From rust buckets to rare tribute cars, Tommy can restore any car and get it ready for the race track. Hefty paychecks are in store for transforming these classic cars and Tommy is the best in the business.

yep its drama for the sake of drama. even the non car shows do it. the bigfoot show is the worst. so what would happen if they found bigfoot? NO MORE SHOW.

what a joke. then they show one of the cars supposedly made fast going down the track, and hes banging through gears. I just cant see it. maybe if it was someone from Powerblock, but not these guys.

Ok guys, turn to MTV and watch that lame *** **** then.....atleast there are shows on tv with old cars, even lots of Mopars.....some take these shows too seriously....like Big Dummy said "drama"......hell, this thread already has drama lmao!!!!

IMO, I like this show and think it's funny, I watch it to laugh and see the cars......:happy1:

The haters can turn to MTV teen mom or the Horseface housewives shows....gotta go, Fat n' Furious is on :D

it would be called , "the fat and furious idiots finding bigfoot"
they would charge the keeper of big foot 25,000 dollars to make the "bigfeet" bigger by smashing them with a 27 pound sledge hammer , and discovery would be raking in even more dollars

those fat dumbasses are an embarrassment the car hobby

Well put. You can't take any of these shows seriously. Look at street outlaws, totally rigged. But watching fast cars run. Yes I'll take these shows over watching Oprah.

Exactly.. I dont take anything serious on this show.. I just watch it for the laughs..and the cool cars...

Thats cause the car is pullin a bunch of weight.id like to see how fast it goes whitout the butterballs

you know the worst thing for me was he redid his dads Notch and I hate seeing that Chivy detail of a flat black engine bay on our cars , I won't even read a sale ad if the pics show that because to me it means it was owned , maintained and probably built by someone who didn't care enough to research what he was building , Seeing them paint the damn car and not paint the engine bay just ground my gears , We won't get into the whole 20lbs of boost through a blower to get into the 11s what a clown .

The alignment was so bad on that notch...also, ugly shackles and skinny 14" rear tires, ouch, was hoping for better from them.
