I want a new set of wheels for my '67 Dart. Should I go Mopar Rally or Cragar SS?

Tough choice for me, since I like what you have now :D.

If you really want something different, between the two, I'm guessing the Rally wheel's would fill the bill.

Just time for a change. I have 8" wheels on back and need to drop down to a 7" so I can get some fender clearance for the back tires. I have the quarter lips rolled up now and want to put them back down.

I have the Crager's on my '63 and I love 'em. I throw on the original rims and wheel covers when I want to go "original". There's something nostalgic about the Crager SS's.
Just my two cents.

You as' for opinions so here

Never been a huge huge fan of Cragars for one thing "anybody" can buy 'em, and back then, "everybody" had em. Aside from that I've never been a big fan of "too much chrome" especially on wheels. UNDERSTATED is what I like, a polished wheel to take away some of the "over" or a polished or chrome rim with a contrasting center.

At least they look "traditional"

No Rally wheels on a pre 70 dart. It looks hokie! I have four darts, and unless it's a 70' or newer A body, those wheels aren't an option. I'm old and stodgy!

If I HAD to choose between the 2 I'd run the rally wheels... BUT if I wanted a 5 spoke chrome wheel (which I really do) I'd run torque thrust 2's but that's just my opinion:)

I got rid of my cragars ss, very over rated and played out. Everyone and their mother has them, Rally's would not look right. sit it on cinder blocks.

im from the younger generation and I still agree 100% ...I don't think rally wheels capture the true 60s essence, so they don't look right on any pre-70 car ......Rallys are a 70s thing.

Just because of that, I would go with the cragers of those choices. The cragers look more period correct for that year of car anyways

Cragers are heavy and overdone, but I do like the old school look of them.

Even my 71 demon has stock wheels and caps, and the 69' came as seen. I may bend on rallys on the demon, as the budget affords it.:)

Agreed, with this. Grew up on Weld /Cragar Drag lite style wheels. I voted Cragar S.S., because it works better with white paint,JMO.

I'm a rallye wheel guy, but the only other choice for me is a steel wheel/torque thrust combo !! ( at least on an early b-body ! ) Torque thrust all the way around on a dart looks good ..

I don't care if the Cragars are "overdone" or not. I still like em. They are period correct for that car. I'm gonna put em on my 68 GTS.

I put them ss on my 67, small bolt pattern barracuda, I like the ralley but not on pre 70 car.

I just put Cragars and T/As on my '69 Swinger, replacing the Rallyes that were on it when I bought it. They aren't cheap, but they do look great and correct for the period.

I'd vote Cragars if you switched it over to the big bolt circle. The 4" B.C Cragars
are hokey looking. On a '67 Dart I might prefer full wheel covers and red line tires.

Dog dishes have been way overdone in the last few years and '67 - '69's are the
main years for which red lines are correct. I would seize that opportunity.

Already done. Big bolt pattern all the way around.

My vote is Cragars! Old school cool in my opinion!

If you want to sell your Draglites let me know! Looking for a set exactly like that for my street/strip Duster! Sent ya a PM too...

I agree with the too much chrome thing.. The cragars are too much chrome... Personally (all the purist opinions aside) I would pick the rallye wheel... I love them on my 69... regardless of what year they were offered....

However, a nice chrome with contrast wheel, would be a Keystone Classic... I think those would look pretty wild

As you can see in my avatar I had the SS's (circa 1976). Man those things sparkled when they were rolin down the street. I had corrosion problems on my original wheels almost from day one though. Always wondered about the cast center steel rim, galvanic action maybe? Got my second one in 85 after I totaled the one in the pic, promised myself I'd never have another set. I restored some rallyes for my newer one.

Kept the small bolt pattern so I could use the small bolt pattern Cragers on my Dart

Rally's before the car was redone

I LOVE CHROME

Keystone classics would look good but only available in unilug so big bolt pattern and 7" wheel would still have issue on the rear on a dart
