The grey ones with metal inside them from Auto Zone are just fine (what I use)
Anything but the layered paper ones.

I know the feeling man

Don, as far as I can tell Greg/Trailbeast replied with a good positive answer within 4 minutes....You only need 1 good answer.

If I asked a question..."Is and LD340 intake a good intake for a 340?" I wouldnt need a dozen replies.
I know what you mean, but you dont need a million responses to answer 1 question.

yes it is

hows that Steve ? LOL

do you believe me? it seems no body else does LOL that's why I don't answer much tech any more, you get all the big-head-todd-know-it-alls-that-don't-have-any-real-world-experience that just shoot you down

sometimes getting a buttload of answers just makes things worse. every body has different opinions and experiences. I would have answered Snakes question, but my headers are ball and cup, no gaskets required

otherwise , soft aluminum gaskets rock in my worthless opinion and they are reusable

I call it the sewing circle, as I don't see how sitting on FABO 22 hours a day could foster any kind of current experience.
Some of the attitudes do suck don't they.
At first a long time ago I thought it was just sarcastic humor, but now I realize it is actually just judgemental nasty offensive attitudes better suited for Facebook or some other social site instead of here.

Don, if I say the gasket answer again can we count it as another oppinion? :D
I tried Remflex gaskets for my header to head gaskets and they are just killer in my oppinion (though a little pricey) I will NEVER use anything else.
They make collector gaskets (about 20 bucks for yours) ,but it would have to be ordered. http://catalog.remflex.com/COLLECTOR_CONNECTOR_Flange_Exhaust_Gasket_p/8056.htm

Thanks you have help big time thanks.

I personally like v band connectors never have to worry about a gasket again. I had some welded onto my super comp headers and then to my exhaust pipe.

Its a win all around, no pesky top bolt to reach around to get just one simple bolt and no worry about tearing a gasket or blowing out one, just make sure the v band is installed correctly and away you go.

I must say that is the way to go,so do I just cut booth ends of the collector than weld them in?

Yes.
You would just cut the flare off the collector and the pipe, slip the collars on and weld em up.

Yes but tou need to make sure that the one v band flange is welded on the end of your header then take your exhaust pipe and slide it into the flange now on the header and then slide the other v band flange onto the exhaust pipe and weld it in that spot.

Seems like an awful added expense and time to me when the right gaskets seal fine. I still have the stock TTI gaskets that came w/the headers for years, no leaks. Invest your $$ elsewhere.

They arent to bad on price depends where you buy them from. Yes you might not have leaks now but it will leak eventually these wont. To me money well spent. Plus think of this you ever need to drop the exhaust instead of 6 bolts and gaskets to worry about its just twonuts and the band thats removed, plus you can place the band nut anywhere for ease of removal or install can't do the same with header flanges.

IF you ask you will receive, thats why i like more than 1 answer,i just learned something never seen those band clamps sweet.
