Some might argue that if the money you spend becomes too much for your economic situation then you are indeed too poor for your needs . Me I say the price is only too much if I'm buying not selling .

Love it.

Isn't that what they call "car broke"???

It's better to have parts and no money, than to have money and no parts....

100% agree.....I have had money trouble before and had thoughts to start selling parts and cars.. Then I realized that as soon as I would have money again I would be on ebay or here looking to replace everything anyway. So why not cut out the agony and just keep everything. LOL

Rani..................thats the footsteps of those people who HAVE HAD nice Mopars and kept them, "NOT for sale" deals and now a few years later the car is rottin in the ground!

Go back to save the car, and thy're still "not for sale" LOL

Your turning into one of them! Keep the one or 2 you truely can't be without and sell the rest make a buck to put into the 1 or 2 you really do want to drive!

HMMMMMM *Thinks* I ought to sell the Buick!

Had my epiphany the day I sold blood to get cash to buy parts for my fury.

Actually my first epiphany came after a night of partying . It suddenly dawned on me I had solved the mystery of which came first the chicken or the egg.

It was so clear and obvious.

It was the rooster!

Your not alone in this Rani, it all started for me 35 years ago with a cheap 340 dodge dart
that went faster than it was supposed too. Swallowed the hook.
Today its the same thing but with a different dodge dart and a couple barracudas and some hemis and .... I doesn't end or is it that I won't let it.
I do somewhat better now and havent been on the lookout for new better projects and am for the most part completely satisfied with the crappers I have and luv.
I fear the parts chase may never end. Good thing I do enjoy it. Its like Christmas every day I get another piece of the puzzle or should I say puzzles.
Lately I been catching myself thinking I need a front engine dragster. God help me.

Great advice! Are you a Dr? I need to follow this but I am really struggling. No one wants my stuff it seems. I really don't think I am over priced because I am not giving it away. Any one want an old truck?

I am no Dr. by no sort of the imagination.....I just made a crazy thought reality by putting it on screen for all to read and kinda "rib" Rani at the same time....

As far as me "selling" the Buick, the wife would murder me as its the only car, SHE can drive LOL

My wife doesn't know how to drive stick (NOT THAT ONE!) so..... the '67 and the '39 are out of her taking either of them ANYWHERE!

well, my cars will never be for sale because when I am done with them I am giving them away.

You don't build cars for money.....what kind of craziness is that!!! You build cars to bring back a piece of American history and re-create days long gone that should have never left.

For me, I was not even born yet when these cars were new so its all new to me but I am making my own memories now and its great. Paradise is here and now so why not live it up.

I am done with my challenger and its been sitting for years and I have not done anything with it and I probably wont so I am giving it to my adoptive dad after I get it running and I gave a duster away to a cousin for a first ride.

So no, I am not following the foot steps to "I will fix it someday" but I know what you are talking about and that is a good advice direction you are going with because you are thinking down to earth practical.

Rani, always dead serious! LOL you crack me up some times....

DAMN last thing I EVER gave my cousin was an *** whoopin', and sadly, I did give a car away to one of them, a '67 VW Bug, we made into a go cart......BUT the *** whoopin' I gave, was the last thing I ever gave to a cousin LOL

As far as your cars go, girlie, I'm just messin' with ya! :poke:

Until I saw that you are giving the cars away, I was going to say that you're "investing"!

But nothing wrong with giving things away, as long as they deserve it and appreciate it!

...or just say "My name is Rani and I'm a Moparholic!"

it is an investment ....but not an investment for money.

What I mean is .......the time spent on a car is great investment.

Just think if all terrorists and bad people built cars or spaceships or other vehicles. They would be too busy investing their time in creating and building that they would not be angry or feel the need to hurt other people.

I would like to create a program where troubled teens can get involved with auto mechanics and go on to be mechanical and industrial engineers because a car is basically a rolling science lab when you think of all the science involved in making a car work.

I say this because there was a time I was a lost kid with no direction or purpose in life and i assumed I would just end up a house wife and have a boring, ignorant life but going to auto school and learning about cars changed that.

So every hour under the hood is a good thing even if it don't make paper money....which to me is only paper.

The memories, knowledge, bonds and satisfaction of a job well done is worth more than money IMO.

And yes I am a moparholic ....its not my fault that Chrysler built the most exciting and fun cars in the 60s and 70s :D
