Like all such posts, you need to post what in the #### you are working on.

I suspect at least a 73? Something?

I forget, might be EGR timer or NOx control

Sorry brother.
Car is a 1971 Dodge dart swinger with a 318.

part number on "thing" looks like 8-5?cant read firts number.

I would bet on Flux capacitor chargeing point over 1971 factory squirters..

NOX , was a emmisions control device. That is part of the circuit that warned you when you were stepping on the gas to hard. It would flash the drivers side fender mount turn signal to warn you, your heavy on the throttle. It tied into multiple things. Look at your speedo cable there will be a large cylinder just below your brake booster with a single wire going into it as well. That was part of the system also.

My suggestion remove it all. Its just not worth the hassle to get it to all work properly.

Good rule of thumb. If it's disconnected, the car runs, and everything you need still works, it can go in the s**t can....

Not familiar with "smog" regs in your area. Make sure you do not need smog equipment to maintain registration. This varies greatly from state to state and sometimes, areas within states

AZ, example, has some of the most preposterous smog regs, consisidering how "open" the state is.

Looks like he's in South Lake, if you have it registered in CA, you can ditch it, and even put a v10 in the car, because you're pre 1975 and CA has no smog for pre75. If it's registered in Nevada, I have no idea.

That's not the "Fuel Pacer" switch. They first came out in '75 and were mounted on the top of the left inner fender.

Cool thanks guys.
In my zip code smog is only.required.upon transfer,.witch is strange as we have so manny othe BS restrictions here...

An this car is pre smog any way so that sucker is gone, 9 more crappy wires Ill never have to look at again.

So now where the hell do I charge the flux capacitor?
