First start up of 572

Make sure you adjust your rear view mirror before backing out.

Sounds pretty good. Can't wait to start mine one day. I gave myself of a goal to have it started before christmas.

Sounds good. Have fun melting tires.

nice hotrod but you have some garage cleaning to do this spring.

Got that right. Been working on the Dart for 2 1/2 years. So have tools and parts, everywhere. Just bought a propane heater, so I can get out there and start putting stuff where it belongs.
When I pushed it out of the garage(no brakes, yet. need bleeding), I thought, " Holy crap! this place is a mess!"

sounds great :burnout:, is that paint on rear bumper ?

How do you like it so far? Are you using a progressive linkage between the carbs or are they one to one?

Oh and if I could add another question what are you doing about a hood? I'm hoping to keep my stock stock hood but I'm not opposed to a hinged Six Pack hood.

Cool deal. I a couple of years away from doing the engine work on my dart but your intake set up is what I'm leaning towards. I think I'm going to go with a 512 through, want to be able to drive this everyday if I needed/wanted to.

Do you any threads on your motor/car build?

I have a 440 pretty much stock 68 motor in mine, and my garage is probably worse. Been trying to neat up for years .67 Dart convertible,5 speed. Your car sounds great.

410 gears. 8 3/4 489. Cope Racing built 727. Forward manual valve body. Cope TC 3000-3800.
I ported and polished the heads and intake. gasket matched intake and exhaust ports. It has 9.6 to 1 compression

I installed an Ohio Crank 572 kit.
These are the specs:
4340 4.5" stroke 8 bolt crankshaft
JE Custom flat-top pistons
OC 7.1" H-beam rods w/ARP 2000 bolts
Total Seal rings FM race bearings
Internally Balanced

Hears the cam kit I'm running.

This is the first Auto trans hot rod I've ever built. Lost my left leg below the knee, last year. No biggie, just can't shift the 833s anymore. At 67 yo, this will most likely be my last build.
