Im in the midst of rebuilding ps pump. Pretty much done and now I notice the flow control valve is slightly different than the one listed in both 67 and 69 Factory Service manual. Here's the issue, if you take a look at a part of the valve on the right, you will see it has a small screen on the end of it...and you know what the screen has? Yep, a very small hole....the hole probably equals about 5% of the total screen size. Should I be concerned OR can the nut at the end be removed and the screen replaced??

I am not 100% what year this pump is, BUT it is identical to the 0.94 in every aspect except for the slight differences in flow control valve.

Ideas/input?

Thanks
Steve

run it. Its on the inlet, right? Thats low pressure. you could probably pop the screen out and replace anyways or at least put one over the existing one.

Im not sure whether its high pressure or not. Another question, see the part on the left with the "nipple" on it. It appears to be made of a different metal, then the piece it sits in. The Service manual shows that it actually separates with a steel ball inside. But I cant get this one apart....Im wondering if the valve itself is facked??
Anyone have experience with these pumps??

Thanks pishta, I will probably run it like you said, but if there is a fix before I button this prick back up I would rather do it now.

Cheers
Steve
