The red paint job is gorgeous. It looks like it really "popped" in the sun. The blue paint job looks kind of drab. As for the "as delivered" look, it has no personality and it's pretty played out.

I'd go with the color that had the best racing history. Looks like it won an NHRA Championship when it was painted blue. If I was going to paint it for looks alone, I'd go red.

The red looks great. I always thought the 2nd gen Barracudas need color. black and white ones just don't do it for me. That is why I painted my 67 notch a teal color and my 68 FB red.

I like both paint jobs. I think the blue will look much better wearing new paint in person than it does in the old faded photos. If that is his choice.
I believe I have seen fewer SS barracudas in red than blue. The ones I remember weren't multicolored. I can't think of any done in a red themed 60 race paint. I probably would go with the red for this reason.
Those old style race paint jobs are great. Glad to see its going back in one. Red or Blue
I would like them both. Can't wait to see it done.

Go Blue,

While the 'red' looks great, that 'blue' from 1968 establishes the BO29 in it's
original look.

Very few BO29 Super Stock cars were 'that' blue back then.

I think Dave Wren's BO29 {in 1968} was the only other SS/BA with that color blue.

I'm usually not a fan of red cars, but it works well on this car.
Solid red.....no.
The way it looks in the photos with graphics and lettering.....Yes!

I chose the red because I liked the custom panel painted style that was used. It has that 60s race car look nailed down. Seems it was more of a top quality custom job from the era than the blue.
Digging the stars and fogging ect. Would have loved to have seen it up close
when it was freshly done.

Tell me why you like the color you pick
thanks

i chose the blue because it was its maiden voyage into the racing world and that's the uniform it wore. it represents how it started its racing career. I would build it exactly the way it started life on the track.

X2 plus it just looks cool blue!

I chose blue because it was the first racing color and I just think that level of originality would be very cool. Thanks for doing this project.

Blue.

Second vote!

Other wise it should RWB patriotic.. But it is not mine to decide.

Awesome build Dave!

This so true! see what happens

Come on people vote it will be come the color you vote on.

We only have a few Blue pictures. If the car goes blue it will be awesome paint job. We will take to the next level for sure.

My Question is how can we not paint it blue. In all the registries they have the car going to Pet Myl's Garage Chrysler Plymouth. I think that Has to be on the Car. Top it of on the C pillar 1967 National NHRA Champion. We all love the BUT If we go red that will not be on the car.

the picture is bad you cannot read Chrysler Plymouth on the door

So vote Please
