Just finished up the Barracuda for my Son to take to the Southern Footbrake Challenge in Holly Springs, MS.

He got there Thursday.
Unloaded the car, it was fast, but not consistent.
He was having trouble with reaction times, he was either .00 or -.025 red.
The car ET was from a 6.43 to a 6.49 on the first day.
He lost second round on a redlight (-.026).

Friday, never won a round of racing, same problems.

Saturday, makes a TT on both tech cards, the car developes a vibration & trans fluid coming from the behind the convertor.
Looks like a convertor failure.

Keep in mind, I'm trying to diag. this 7 hours away over a cell phone.
I make the decesion to take him the Demon (ole reliable), 7 hours away.
Meanwhile, he borrows a Brand X car to race.
Starting with a 180 cars, & a car he has never driven, gets down to 10 cars before going out.

Today, with 207 cars present, he goes all the way to the Winners circle in the Demon!
Not bad for 1 T/T.
It was a great final, both driver identicle on the tree & both broke out.
I told my Son to just drive both ends of the track.
Very proud of that Boy.

Is that all??? :) That is AWESOME!!! I'm betting with a purse like that the field was quite large! I would LOVE to experience something like that! (or even half.... or even a 1/4!!). Congrats and hope you have some picts to post up!!!

Wow, awesome job!! Kudos to the lad for not getting down during the breakdown and keeping focused till the end!! I'm sure some of his winnings will go towards taking care of that converter!! :)

That's AWESOME!! A couple racers from my track traveled down to that race, but didn't do so well.

Mike, just read this. Congrats to Parker on a great driving job. And Kudo's to crew chief as well. Jim

Wanted to go, but 12 hours away. Hefty entry fees, but good payback.

THIS'LL BE A DAY HE'LL REMEMBER FOR QUITE AWHILE. More u race, the better u get!
