Started taking a B12 vitamin, seems a little better after a few or 2

Agreed... Since I hit 40, take a B12 pill, & a good multi vitamin daily. The Wiki on the situation, says enough. Take care of yourself, B.D, we need you to build a Mopar that really cranks. You did it ,with that badass Camaro, satisfy your soul & build what you really want.

I took a 10/325 pain pill last night feeling better today.I went a week without my podiapn. Its a vitiman prescribed by my doc.ive been on it for a week and I can't seam to feel better till I popped a pain pill.I use to be on a nother pill Mentax bur it quit working

Yes it does indeed suck.I take the b12,gabapentin and a pain med.I still cant feel my legs from my knees down and and have the sharp pins and needles sin my feet 24/7.I have tried all the meds and these seen to help me the most.Sometimes at night I can use capsicum cream and it eases the foot pain enough so I can fall asleep.Even at 50 years old all the doctors say get used to it because it aint goin away.

I'm right behind ya at 49.Some days in the evening I can't walk and get hurting pretty bad enough to take a pain pill.Ive lost some weight and am trying to lose more my A1c was 9.2 90 days ago and 8.1 today the doc said to take at lunch 500 metformin. I take 1000 in the morning and another 1000 at night

Oxcarbazepine seems to dull the needles and doesn't have some of the drowsy issues of Gab...

Metformin was working great as far as getting my numbers under control but made me so sick to my stomach I had to cut back to 500 in the morning and 250 at night.Still bothers me but not as bad...of course my numbers are up:protest::protest:.See Doc next month...hope he can come up with something else.:banghead:

Looks like I'm in some pretty good company... I know what the 10/325s are - and I hate to take them in the mornings as they make me less productive at work. But sometimes I need to at the start of the day and I am ok to drive home 9-10 hours later.

I slammed my head into an object unwilling to move in 2003. Quite by accident. Hit it so hard I saw stars but never blacked out. 4-5 years later I figured out all the headaches were related to that and my C3-C5 in my neck is trashed (DDD). Doc is looking at TBI now.

Gabapentin didn't work real well for me, so my doc tried Lyrica which helps some. Injections are spotty and not really worth the trouble and expense as they last a few days to a few weeks.

I wish you all the best!

George.

Me as well. 2K a day of Metformin + Glipizide ? Gabapentin for my Neuropathy in my feet. Life sucks sometimes, But I guess we have to make the most of it!

I only need metformin if I've been really bad like eat a lot of watermelon or gummies etc.... Food items that really help kick it are celery and cinnamon. Instead of chips I dip celery and it really helps mine. I use a dip made from cottage cheese also, spiced up with jalapenos and garlic.... Lots of protein and little carbs.

I tried lyrica but the gabapentin worked better for me.The doc, tried me on metformin but it was shutting my kidneys down. Was down to 25% function.

Hope you find something that will give you some relief. This crap stinks to deal with.

I am on Lyrica.. works great fr me.. 1 in the morning and one at night.. Metformin is what caused my Kidney failure. Anyone on this needs to get their kidneys checked.

Every three months I go for a bunch of blood work.Gabapentin will give you very vivid dreams. It can also give you thoughts of suicide.I have to go for counseling every 2 weeks to help me stay level headed. On top of all that happened in the last few years drug side affects was the last thing I needed.

Thought I was to young for this crap, but I see some are quite a bit younger than me

A couple weeks ago I started taking high potency B super maxi complex

and seen on TV (so it has to work) Kerasal NeuroCream and bought it this week.

Not sure if either are doing any good, but my feet feel different, better, not sure, but different

One thing I do know my feet were dirty. The white foam applicator on the neuro cream is now tan....... LOL

Best keep sugar in control since you are driving. I have to get yearly medical due to the metformin, I only take 1 500 mg 2x a day and has been ok

I was on 500mg twice a day.. If they do not check the creatin in your blood which most basic labs don't then you will not know what is happening.. I only found out because I switched doctors.
