PWR rad opinion/help

Folks, a friend gave me a really nice PWR rad, 3 spal fans, and rad shroud for my car. As far a dimensions go it will fit fine, only concern I have is that the inlet and outlet are both located at the lower drivers side of the rad and I'm wondering if I will have flow issues with this setup. If so, does anyone have recommendations on how I can make this work? Thanks!!

Not unless you can tig the in / out fittings somewhere else LOL I've never used those in a 1953 Borgward, so I don't know

I would have to assume it is a dual pass radiator. Looks like the drivers side tank is twice as wide as the other, being separated internally for coolant to flow up and across to the pass side then down and back across. That is just a guess, but the welding/design of that side tank sure makes it look like they are separated.

Its free, what have you got to lose? Looks like those fan may be able to pull some serious air.

She's no 1953 borgward but she will do haha

My plans was to tig 2 90* elbows at the bottom and just plumb straight into them.
Would an aftermarket high flow pump help? Electric or mechanical??
Really appreciate the help guys!!!

He was making a comment about not saying what car you are working on.

I'd stay with a stock style water pump mainly to keep possible unreliability down.
 
It might be kind of difficult to come up with an "air free" fill method. What would you do, put both outlets down or up? If all that causes some sort of airlock or other blockage, might not be worth the engine it might cost. Otherwise, anyone you know tig aluminum?

Lol sorry. I'm used to the cummins forum where my vehicle is in my sig at the bottom of each post.
My plan was to 180 the inlet straight up to the top of the rad so that it's in stock location with a drain valve (sort of like a trap in a sink) at the 180* elbow to release air if the low point creates an air bubble.
The outlet elbow would pretty much be in the stock location jus a little higher than normal.

So, is it common for aftermarket pumps to have reliability issues??
