For sale is a basically new set of Doug's D453 headers. I bought these from another member 3-1/2 yrs. ago new in the box but never got around to installing them on my car until about 6 weeks ago. When I did try to install them I ran into problems with them hitting the power steering box. I ground as much as I could off the box but they still hit so in my angst to get my car running again I dented them in until they cleared. When installed I could not see the dents unless I looked very closely between the PS box and headers. If you didn't know they were there you'd never see them. Next it was time to install the torsion bars and they would not clear the header tubes. I checked the alignment of the engine according to TTI's specification (only specification I could find) and the engine is exactly where it should be. I bought a set of TTI's and they went right on with no problem. Doug's told me because I "modified them" (dented) they would not honor any warranty but they'd give me a discount price if I wanted to buy a new set. Yeah right

Long story short is they are for sale and should be no problem if your using an aftermarket front suspension that eliminates the torsion bars. They have a few scratches in the ceramic coating but nothing is real noticeable except the dents. They come with collectors and gaskets

These cost nearly $600 new but I'm asking $300 obo plus shipping from central IL and I take PayPal

New price of $300 plus shipping. The dented area is not over 1/4" deep so I don't believe it'll affect performance any appreciable amount.

Tracy did you run the taller mounts with those ? ive got these to install on mine but have manual steering.Ive ordered mounts through Summit and hopeing i dont run into these issues.Fingers crossed. Will fit these up when the engine needs to be done so i can feed them through the top with out removing steering link .

No I didn't, I'm running solid mounts cause I haven't found anything else that'll last with my 408. According to the engine centering instructions on TTI's website I have the engine where it should be but I'm sure taller mounts would have helped. When I did the install I forgot about the taller mounts. I might be wrong but doubt you'll need them with manual steering because they just barely contacted my PS box.
