I'm trying to decides on a wheel/tire package for the car. I can't stand the factory hub cap look. I'm thinking about a bit wider stance in the rear and more narrow to the front. Can anyone share photos of their Darts with rim/tire packages and sizes?????

JMO - WOW - you don't like that look!!? I think your car is SWEET... mine is all tubed and MT street tires, so I can't help you with your question - - I just had to chime in as I remember seeing you just the other day and I was impressed with the way it looks as is.. still am. Of course, I get it with wanting to hot rod it too.. :D

I'm running 255-60-15 on the rear and 215-70-14 on the front

Here are a couple of other looks to consider. The first one is a photoshop the way my GTS is now with caps and rings and the second one is what it would look like with Torque Thrust wheels instead.

The last 2 are actual pictures of my GTS with the caps and rings.

-- Torque Thrusts with the darker gray center are my favorites. --

340doc, that is about exactly what I envisioned for a stance. I like a meaty looking rear with a narrower front. That Torque thrust with with gray center is sweet looking!!! Now to decide how much $ to throw at the look. Of course I'd never part with the originals, My taste when it comes to muscle machines does not favor hub caps. Ddaddy, if I had the dog dish style like yours.....I'd leave it alone, but mine just looks like it has grandmas wheels to me.

Here are a few quick photoshops to help you visualize some options...

I also think your car looks good with the hub caps, but can see where you might want to change it up a bit

I like my Cragars and redlines, gives it the period correct look

I had raised white letter tires on it when I started building it, they had to go, a set of red lines on the stock wheels would change the appearance a great deal.

My wheels at sbp, 14"x6" with 225/70/14 REDLINES by Diamondback classics

Ddaddy, thanks for going the extra mile. You are obviously way more computer savvy that I. Now to decide. I guess it's all about personal preference at this point. I'm leaning toward the Crager SS, or the Torque thrust with the gray centers.

OK. So here is a photo of the wheel with the cap off. Can anyone tell me what the factory bolt pattern in on the 69 GTS? I measured, and the center of the stud (skipping one) is a shade under 4 inches. Is this a 5x4 pattern?

Is this the same as the B bodies?????

Is this the same as the B bodies????? I don't think so - only the A bodies had the 5x4 - in this era & Mopar

A bodies use a 5 lug 4" bolt pattern, b bodies use. 5 lug 4 1/2" bolt pattern.

Those look like small bolt pattern to me

Remember that unless it has been changed the left lugs are left handed and right are right handed

When I built my car I put all rights in. Important when ordering your wheels and lug nuts to get the correct ones.

With a small bolt pattern wheel selection is very limited.

What you have on now is a 14x5.5" small bolt pattern rim! The widest tire "suggested" for that rim would be a 215mm, so you're already pushing it! There was just a set of Cragar SS rims and tires near me that the guy was running on his 69 Dart that were 14x8 in the back and 14x7 in the front, 3 3/8" backspace in the rear, with 265mm tires! I passed on them, shoulda bought them, they were $450 for the set including lug nuts and tires!!!

Don't know how you get 8" Cragars under a dart. My 6" and 225 70 tires are really close, cannot get my finger between tire and 1/4. Cut the lip back to increase a little when they were repaired before paint.

Guess with the right offset or shortened rear end you could get more under it.
