think I got ripped off on Facebook

-
Pm rocket, he lives in the us but has connections in canada, i bought shipped and recieved many things from him, and he is a stand up guy, hes in qeubec from time to time,
i got ripped off on fb a few years ago, same story, bought a rear quarter from a guy, talked to hom on the phone a few times and got a sob story, long story short i was blocked and out the money and the qarter

I just need someone to pick it up and ship it too me

If we ship it from here to you, I don't think that the post office handles something as big as a whole axle. You would be forced to go with FedEx or UPS which will $$$$$ the hell out of you with 'brokerage fees' shipping it over the border, not to mention the $$$ to ship alone...

The only way that I could think of to "package" it would be to use thick heavy duty tie wraps and strap it to a pallet....

Cosgig could hang onto it until someone from Canada can come get it and take the next leg...

I'm checking into shipping it through Fastenal, saw it in another thread here and remembered they are now shipping items to their stores for pickup! Is there a larger city near you I could check for a Fastenal location?? There's a few Fastenals in Calgary, so this could work!!

Edmonton is much closer but at this point I will drive to Calgary no problem

3 stores in Edmonton, also tons of stores all over Alberta! How bout a post code, there's a store locator on their site!!

This forum is just incredible. :thumblef:

dartboy, you could post a thread in General Discussion to see if there is anyone on here going on a Trans Canada road trip any time soon. You never know.

Trans Canada??? Is Bruce Jender going to be there????

How do we contact the "guy" so we can go pick up the axle??? Hopefully we won't get any problems, but I have a feeling it will be a challenge...

I'll know by 9:00am CST if Fastenal ships from the U.S. to Canada, and I'll post the info right back here! One way or another, Karl needs to know if he's picking this up soon!!!!

Fastenal is not in the freight business they would only be shipping their own product into their branches (stores)

Not true, Fastenal is totally in the freight business!! You can drop off something at their store near you and they will ship it to another Fastenal store!!! Forward thinking on their part, filling their trucks and making money on the space! I know a couple other companies that do it also, but Fastenal has locations close to the OP!! Check it out, I already called them!!

Ok, bad news here!! Fastenal can't ship items across the border to their stores in Canada! There is no way to clear customs with freight items!! She suggested another freight company!!! Thoughts??

I ask the Fastenal rep the next time he comes in trying to talk me into using Fastenal

If it could be carried over the border, can it be easier to ship with less issues with customs?

I'm not sure, I've never imported anything across a border...

That's how I got my front end it was brought across the boarder then shipped but a complete rear end is a lot bigger. He is not replying to my texts right now anyways so it's hard to arrange a pick up
