Tesla 3

You mean a car that does not exist? And has never been tested, crash tested? With only a couple prototypes to look at, not drive-able? Not me. With non refundable deposits? Not.

200 mile range and a long recharge time. No thanks. I don't think this will work for most normal people.

Our CEO has a Tesla Model S. It's pretty fast and the Autosteer function is pretty cool. Sorry to say it, but the future is here.

Tesla has a repair facility near me..atleast 5 of those shitboxes come in on flatbeds every day..

There is no guarantee this car will ever get made! A long way from the show rooms. IMO.

Sorry to say it, but the future is here.

Sorry Brian, the future is NOT here. Not until these get a lot greener, and "they ain't"

and the price gets a whole buncha cheaper.

That's not why they are coming in on trailers. Tesla brings a loaner car to your home or business and takes your car back to their facility to work on it. They could be coming in for service or a tire repair. My buddy is a service writer for Tesla and he doesn't even have to leave his home. Everything is done over the phone or through email. For smaller services they just dispatch a mechanic directly to your location and the car is serviced there.

News flash, people buy $100k cars every day. Maybe not you or I but they ARE selling. These are not tree hugging hippies who want to go green. They are people that have a butt load of cash and want to drive something fast and don't want to pull into a parking lot and see five cars just like theirs. It probably eases their conscious a little that they are driving an electric car, but the reason they're buying them likely has more to do with their ego.

Actually, what I was referring to with my future comment was the fact that people are always posting about "where are the flying cars that we were supposed to have in the 21st century?!?" I was merely pointing out that the car basically drives itself. Not our cup of tea I know, but still pretty cool technology.

Like them or not, it's a different experience. And the deposit is refundable at anytime. I think some ordered cars to sell there place in line or sell the car to someone who doesn't want to wait. The unveiling on YouTube is a good watch for a car guy or gal regardless.

I don't get why you have to be a "left coast tree huggin wacco" to give a **** about air quality. I think if you "right coast smokin tailpipe rednecks" were locked in a garage with a running car -- you'd wish it was electric.

ROFLMFAO!!! that was great!

I read somewhere that the electricity to charge electric cars has a higher carbon footprint than if you are running a modern gasoline powered car because of the power plant emissions.

Don't know how true that is.

Course, if the coal fired power plants all switch over to natural gas or nuclear, that might not be the case.

That's completely valid. The real difference, though, is when you have the pollution concentrated to the area around the power plant then the air tends to be better when you're driving anywhere else.

I once got stuck behind about 10 Harleys on a country road doing the Sunday drive. Bikes, as you know, have no catalytic converters on them. Getting behind a pack of ten non-catalyzed engines was misery. But I wouldn't say that those ten bikes were gonna melt the ice caps.

What you smokin.... biggest pieces of **** there are... Wouldnt want a elec vehicle even if they gave one to me.... keep in mind that predicted miles on a charge is simply a guess under NORMAL/idelal driving conditions .... i would like to see the average joe afford an elec vehicle once it is out of warranty... smartin up guys... you want dependibility and mileage.... diesel is the way to go... to bad the government does not think so:(

It's like owning a Benz, Audi, or Beamer. Trade or sell it with 1 year of warranty left and get another one
