Anyone else find the new format confusing?

Is it just me? Or does the new format make it difficult to scan and find relevant topics? Maybe it just takes time to get used to, but I find it very scatterbrained.
 
I am struggling with it. I think it is just getting used to it but I miss some of the old features, or they are still there and I just haven't found them. I don't visit or post near as much as I did. But ultimately it is still an A body car forum so that makes it good to me. I have to figure out how to rebuild my signature and build thread.

I dearly hope the massive "sales" threads settle down. 3/4 of the threads when you punch the "new" button are sales threads.

I'm lost too, if it wasn't broke why fix it, thought the old format was good, easy to find where I wanted to go, do searches, etc
 
There have always been lots of sale adds. I am learning to navigate pretty good but I am off work injured so I have lots of time. Or maybe the pain meds just make it seem easier. lol

I can understand why software needs to be upgraded. But design changes sometimes are no improvement. This is mostly why I almost refuse to use Microsh$$. Change for the sake of change. XP worked fine, once you got it set up closer to 98. Then we morphed into 7 with many changes which didn't improve anything except just being more difficult to figure out how to access. HA-eight got even worse, and now then the "spyware from the father"

I thought the new software was supposed to help keep the "carpet bombing" of for sale ads from going on....
 
I am liking the new format better as I use it more. I haven't spent a lot of time on here lately due to work at work and work at home. When things slow down for me I will spend more time checking out the new format.
 
it ain't nothing' but a thing.. surf around and have fun with it - ya can't break it and ya surely can't fight it so...
 
what drives me crazy is all those damn little windows at the bottom of the last page of every thread...can that be fixed?
 
I will Always miss the old v bulletin, but that's just what I used first, so....
 
I love the new format, and the alerts with hyperlinks to get you right to the thread that the alert was for. It allows me to periodically check in, no alerts on threads i am following no reason to lurk, or hunt to find them individually. Being able to rotate pix instead of them being upside down all the freakin time. I have forgotten the old fabo format after a few days of surfin the new one.
 
I bet that if 6 months or a year from now, if the forum suddenly switched back to the old style, most people would hate it. Change just takes a little getting used to.
For starters, the new forum works awesome on my phone compared to the old one. It's a little different on my pc but I know I will get used to it and it will eventually be second nature to navigate, just like before.
 
Struggling with the new twist on it here as well. It will take some fingering out. I agree with the no break no fix, but thats my opinion.
Once the glitches are ironed out I would assume it will get easier.

Click on the persons screen name, it pulls up their information. Then click on the words "start conversation" it opens up a box to type into. Type in title of your conversation, fill in the body of your letter in the box below the title, Then click the box that says "start conversation" below your letter. Its that simple. Retrieval of your PMs is as easy as going yo the top menu bar and clicking on the word inbox. Your inbox will even have a red square with a number in it showing the number of PMs in your inbox.
