I picked up my new engine this past weekend.

I have a bunch of work ahead of me now. After I get the old one out, I need to clean up and paint the engine compartment. Swapping to manual steering now too. It's going to take me some time working mostly by myself, but hope to have it back running again sometime in June.

I'll update with pictures as I progress.

Some specs on my build:

Hughes CNC ported Edelbrock RPM heads
Super Victor EFI intake with 1000 cfm TB (Megasquirt controlled)
39 lb injectors to start off with
10.75:1 compression forged Diamond pistons
Cometic Head gaskets
Forged Eagle crank with H-beam rods
Lunati solid roller .600 lift, 255/263(int/exh) duration @ .050
Hughes 1.6 rockers
MRL lifters

It will be backed by a built up 904 with manual VB and 3800 converter from Dynamic Racing Transmissions. There are 4.10 gears with a 325-50-15 drag radial out back with caltracs.

Hoping for some 10 second runs when everything is sorted out.

Very nice build. Depending on how much head work was done it should run deep in the 10's at typical A body weight.

My flat tappet pump 93 408 ran 6.57 at 3260#. It ran 6.70 in street trim. Looking forward to hear your progress and results.

The 360 in the car is almost ready to be pulled out. I've only had a few hours on a couple of nights to work on it, but I'm making progress. The shifter cable, throttle cable, starter, and the engine/trans mounts are left.

Beautiful build. I don't think those 39lbs injectors are going to be on there long though.

Thanks.

I have a set of 60# injectors on hand. The 39# injectors are for break-in. The 39s are only good to about 500 hp unless I bump up the fuel pressure. I'd rather just go with the bigger injectors and not worry about running out of fuel.

Sweet ! someone put together a nice package.

Slowly getting things done. Got some polishing finished on my pulleys and primed the engine bay. Hope to get some color on that tomorrow if the weather behaves.

Oh ........... Some hookers were waiting on my front step one night too.

I like the crank trigger but how are you planning on setting up the ps pump. Im looking at going down the crank trigger path myself

Got the engine compartment sprayed. The high humidity kicked my *** with the clear coat though and it came out kinda dull in places. I did a test area of 1200 paper and it buffed out nice, so nothing to worry about.

Intake manifold gasket match porting is almost done. I hope to get the engine back in early next week. Still waiting on a power to manual steering box coupler.
