And no, silly. Of course it's not mine..........

1975 dodge dart lite

1975 dodge dart lite - $1000 (hayden)

I have a dodge dart lite for sale. this isn't an ordinary dart sport. the hood and the trunk bracing is aluminum. the bumper brackets are aluminum. it has an aluminum a833 od 4 speed and the motor is gone but would have had an aluminum intake. it has an aluminum steering box. when these came off the showroom they boasted 36 miles per gallon. I have an aluminum slant six intake to go with it. the engine is gone but the 4 speed is there. I got it from an estate but lost the title I have had it for about ten years, you can get a title in idaho, it is a process but I have done it and if a guy is serious about a car it is just a pain in the butt.

Del, You need to save that thing. Add an aluminum slant 6, EFI, might get 40+ mpg.
Beware, I think I see poison ivy.

It would take a community effort, lol. I don't have the money.

Why do these people not get the title themselves BEFORE they list the car??? Umm, maybe cause it's not that easy after all??

I could title that here in less than an hour. :D
Of course it would have to be here for a vin check.

Yup. Read this, "I had the title but never transferred it. Now that it's gone, it will be hard to re-title it"

there was recently a duster for sale in my area with no title. Upon digging, it was discovered the real owner is in prison and the CL seller was just being an opportunist.

They often cant get titles themselves because it's not theirs to sell. Pretty much the golden rule is if you don't have a title in YOUR NAME then it doesn't belong to you, which is why I don't buy non - titled cars for any reason.

Sad it sits there like that.
It would be hard to get a title here at my local BMV.

That's the thing. "Not yours to sell." There's been cases where cars were awarded back to the rightful owner. It would suck, putting lots of money into that, and then have the real owner come along.............

Simple to obtain a title in some states. California is not difficult at all. AZ takes a little more work.

I have a motorcycle that I haven't ridden since about 1995, lost the title somewhere. Is that not mine to sell? HMMMMMM.

yes it is..and a responsible party would apply for a duplicate title in case a sale is on the horizon. A minute today can save a future deal from falling through.

C'mon man. The title is in your name, right? Easy to get a duplicate. But when it's in someone ELSES name.

Hasn't been registered in 20 years, not so easy to walk in adn grab a duplicate as it's likely been purged from the system.

Eggzackly.....

even WITH a title AND engine, $1000.00 seems a bit much for a beak nose car
