The white lettering on my new bf goodrich ta tires are dull on my back tires and the front are white except on the outer edges they are dark and will not come off.The bf goodrich rep at the good guys show said the oils in the rubber was bleeding through and to let the dealer i bought them from know.I did and i do not think they are going to do anything.Any one have this problem and what did you do

Not BFG's but I have the same problem with the white letter tires on my 69 Dart. I just decided to live with it. Nothing will clean them that I have tried.

Take some 240 grit wet/dry sandpaper and a flat sanding block, and wet-sand the discolored rubber off the letters (only!). Believe me, all white letters and whitewalls have this discoloration problem. But yes, the BFGs seem to be extremely bad.

Where can you find this white tire paint?

I've got the same problem with mine. I've tried several things but the sand paper was the only thing that worked, but not for long. I'll try the paint if I can find it.

Any craft or hobby store like Michael's or even Wally World should have them in assorted colors. They look like a marker, but are filled with liquid paint....

I am familiar with this problem. Are your rear tires a 60 series? It seems those are the ones that are browning. I had this problem on my Roadrunner, and a buddy had the same problem on his GTX. He contacted BFG, went for a tire inspection, and they exchanged his rear tires for him. Unfortunately, the replacements also turned brown. They again replaced them. Anyway, he got them exchanged for a third time and so far, so good. I called BFG about my tires, went down to my local Pep Boys for an inspection, after which they called BFG while I was there. I think they were going to replace mine for me, but unfortunately, I was not the original buyer, so they wouldn't help me out. My tires had only 900 miles on them however. There was something wrong in the production of these 60 series tires, which they supposedly have now corrected. You should check date of manufacture of any tire you buy, and make sure it was produced in 2016 to be on the safe side.

Did you try wet-sanding them as I suggested above? I had the same problem and it does work.

Why would you want to wet sand them when bf good rich says they have a problem with them and will give you a new set. They had a problem in the manufacturing of the tire. You can sand them and make them better but they will discolor again in a week.To Alan H yes they are 60 series and two of the new tires i just got are doing the same thing .They where made in 2015 i need to get 2016 tires

Mine were probably made in 2010. This is nothing new. Obviously I could not get new tires from BFG. I'm afraid very few people will qualify to get these tires. I sold the tires & wheels a while ago. To me, it wasn't a huge problem anyways, and I've seen it before on other RWL tires.

A few months ago I looked for replacements on ebay. I wrote to one seller and asked production date and they were 44th week of '15 so I passed.
I would shop around to find the newest available.

Sorry to say it, but BFG T/A are crap. They are a low quality, badly out-dated, hockey puck of a tire. But those who refuse to go bigger than a 15" rim have to suckle at the teet of mediocrity. I'm kissing the ground at the fact I'm done with my old ones...

I had this exact problem also & due to sizing, I had to buy the front 2 from a different place ( Tire Depot ) than the rear 2...they came from ( Summit ). For myself, it's worse on the front 2, I'll tell you what, I called Tire Depot, because as I say it's worse. He sounded very much like I was the first one to call or first person to tell him about it. Hmmmm. Tell you what, good 'ol Bleach White does NOT take much of it off either. To post a pic won't help much, for as we both have the same issue. Also, if you bought all 4, or however many from the same place...I don't know what to do! Class Action, (not kidding either, sort of), thing is $700.00 worth of tires, 2 different dealers, let me know what you do or...

What you do is call bf good rich which has been bought out by michillen.I explained the problem they said they knew they have a problem. She took my zip code and called a dealer that sells there tires. They told them to give me a new set under warranty. And i think she said they are under warranty for 6 years.I did not even by my tires from a bf good rich dealer but they have to warranty the tires because they are a bf goodrich dealer.I took them back to tire discounters

Well I too bought 4 tires, each set of 2 were of bad black or dark @ top of all letters. Remember, this is from 2 different dealers. That said, I am looking to see what others, like yourself, have done. I am sort of, @ a loss. Thing is, -GOODRICH QUALITY CONTROL SHOULD HAVE NOTICED- & never left them be sold. BF GOODRICH TIRES HAVE BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME! That said, I am going to call Goodrich, maybe even mention this site. Cause, hate to say this, but I AM GLAD it was not only me. I'll keep you posted. I saw someone else bought Goodrich tires & they were replaced. So I don't know. I WANT RESOLVE - I DON'T WANT EXCUSES OR THE word NO, from Goodrich.

Four Goodrich tired, all 4 have brown at top edge of where PURE WHITE, should be. I am calling BF Goodrich, see what their response is. QUALITY CONTROL @ GOODRICH, should have never ALLOWED TIRES WHERE WHITE LETTERS, are brown, leave the Goodrich plant. I said it before, I'll say it again, whom else has this problem with BF GOODRICH WHITE LETTERS WITH A BROWN DYE OR, LACK OF WHITE. Tires are not cheap, less your buying one at a time. Yes, old school BF Goodrich white letters, they should qualify for NEW SCHOOL ALSO. Anyone else with the issue? Please let me know. This is a PRIME EXAMPLE OF A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, if you were to ask me.
