Thanks Mike! Here's another one. I still need to shorten the tailpipes and add the polished SS tips on my new Jegs exhaust.

Doesn't the GTX look small next to the Barracuda in this shot?
When i bought my 69 vert in January. i said to my wife...Man that's a long car. I guess it's because of the vert. top needs space to drop down behind the sea. The back eand of the car is long. My wife's 73 E body is short in the back.

Posted before but here is a new shot from this year. We just got her back on the road after a mishap with the rear main seal.

Thanks for the props. Lots of nice verts on this thread btw.

The gent who is working with me on the retainer said he has one, that he may or may not use. I'm supposed to find out if it's available next week.

I sure hope so. I have everything I need except that piece and I'm growing tired of waiting.

It is no longer than a fastback or notch. Convertibles just look longer with the top down. The space for the top was made up with a slightly shallower back seat.

True ^. To make them look shorter, you just have to lower them a couple inches.

Anyone know how to find out how many 69 Verts. are left out there? Mine is a slant 6, automatic. Supposedly there were only 208 made.

There's no reliable way to tell how many are still out there. I saw the same production that you have. At one point back in the 1980s one magazine opined that roughly 10% were left. I'm not sure that's an accurate percentage, but it would probably be safe to say that considerably less than 100 slant/auto '69 convertibles are left.

Where did you buy your bumpers?

I got my bumpers from Tri-City plating out of Tennessee! They're always at the Nats and easy to deal with! I call ahead and have them bring bumpers for me, and save all my cores and turn them in to knock the price down!! These bumpers were free, I turned in 20 cores in exchange for them!!
