Any one have a modern paint code for a 1966 paint code?

GM FABO crew;

I decided to bring my 1966 Barracuda back from Black to the factory silver.
I need to double check the fender tag but I believe it is a AA-1 Silver Poly color.
I tried to bring that to my local paint supplier and they turned me away because they said that number is no good anymore but If I can switch it to a Lessonal number ( a name of a line of paint like what I new was Dupont or PPG back in the day)
OR
Find a newer paint color I like and get the paint code from there.

I looked on this site and a few others (Sorry Joey I did go else where) for a cross over paint chart and was unsuccessful.
I want to do a base coat clear coat set up.
As long as I am asking the Bright Red interior paint is Code PP-1
A cross for that is good as well.

In support of this thread I would like to see a paint code break down on our 66 A bodies as well if anyone can help us out :thankyou:

Joe, you need to try a automotive paint company that sells brands that have been in business for decades like Du Pont for example. I don't think Lessonal has been around long enough to have the old paint codes.
 
I may have a modern code for 661 light mauve metallic if anyone needs. In ppg. I sold the car and may have given it to them though so I'd have to look. Pm if anyone interested and I can go from there.

Thanks tool man mike- the paint store I went to has been selling me paint for over 25 years. Since the advent of water Bourne paints; it seems none of the paint stores around me recognize the color code. Sadly all the employees are low wage workers who were not in the business 25 years ago when I painted it black. If I can find a cross from acrylic enamel ( mind you that was a giant leap from the single stage color from 50 years ago) to a newer water Bourne paint I will post it directly so it can be saved and updated as need be. It is frustrating that the people you rely on cannot tell you more than the computer they sit behind is programmed for. The guys asked me "what's it on?" I said, an old barracuda. The guy o was working with said - "oh, that must be under Datsun colors." I told them it was a Plymouth.... The response was, " oh, is that like a neon?"
