Toronto is only an hour and a half or so depending on traffic . The FABO guys will be parked along the first base line of Diamond #1 most likely , I am getting itchy knowing I won't be driving onto the ferry to start the journey this friday , going to be a weird feeling couple of weeks here in Victoria after 5 years of making the cruise .Have fun guys somebody post some group pics eh !

I plan to show up with dartie on Sunday morning. Will arrive in the FABO section then likely walk over to swap area to see if anything I don't need is there. :)

Haven't been in a few years... Are there vendors selling repro parts and such? I know I want a carpet set, sills, window cranks etc....

Also looking for a few interior plastic items for 73-76 Duster....

Riddler

Laysons is usually there but the french guys from quebec that normally have a huge display sold their business before last years show and their wasn't as much repop stuff there , maybe it will pick up again this year , can't say I've ever noticed anyone selling new carpet but the small shiny bits can usually be found .

Sorry to see your not going to make it out this year Chris, our FABO group is
getting smaller.
I will be vending this year at lot 12 at the very end of row 1, any one going stop
by and say hi.
Kenny

Thanks for the good vibes Kenny , I wasn't supposed to come last year so I could make the Euro trip this coming spring but when the time came the itch took over and you know how it is lol , It looks like this contract I am taking care of at the navy base for the next two years is going to push the Euro trip back another year but I am looking at coming to Moparfest next year either way because I just can't deal with these west coast waterheads without the occasional fix of my Ontarible friends .-Cheers post lots of pics Chris

My pictures are up from Moparfest on Sunday, on my Facebook page, still working on uploading the high quality to my main site at smugmug.

Moparfest Sunday

I also lucked out and won the Engine blow contest.

What do you folks do at this "Moparfest" shindig? I get asked every year to go and I ask the same questions and never get a straight answer. I don't see any drag racing, or any motorsports activities, nothing. I did the lawn chair rugby thing back when I had a trailer queen and swore never to go back.

Please enlighten me.

It's a giant lawnchair/ swap meet event during the day and a great get together time in the evening , Friday there is a cruise but we general meet up for some wobbly pops and great food and Saturday one of the local dealerships has a giant bbq with a burn out contest and live music. The field hosts 1800-2000 cars that are driven in while the show barn/arena hosts the real trailer queens plus notable historical cars and people like the Petries who where the Canadian Rapid Transit folks and won as many races as Sox and Martin .The swap area has space for 200 venders plus a couple of car corral areas , in 2015 there were 3 Maxi cars in the car corrals .This is for all purposes the Canadian equivilent of the Nats. For us FABO folks it is a great social event ,if your not into hanging out with us then stay home.

I thought as much. When this event moves to Grand Bend or Cayuga I'll make the effort. Nothing against you guys but this event as it stands doesn't appeal to me and I only live 20 minutes away.

Hi Guys . I have not heard much chatter about the 2017 Moparfest . We live about 5 hrs. east of New Hamburg and we have a standing invite from friends that live in Guelph . The only kicker is our 20 th anniversary that weekend so i'm working on the missus to join me but she is not overly interested in that plan . LOL For who ever is going, enjoy. Bob
