I have the 55 gph meizere on a 414 with block fill and it stays below 180 on the street. It does not matter how hot it is out.

Meziere 42 gpm looks like the one
But dam
425 plus the backing plate and fittings

The moroso is cheaper but only flows
35 gpm and just not sure if that will keep it cool in a Texas summer

What state do you live in, size of radiator and coolent mix used?
Mass. (not that that really has much to do with it... it gets HOT here too) - I do not know the size of the radiator - I can tell you last time I flushed and filled it I used at least 2.5gal. - I use a 50/50 mix

Texas ,don't remember the size of the radiator but it's a aluminum 3 core with large Cfm fan on it. It was able to keep my fairly hot 360 cool in July ,August

rocodart" do u have the flow figures on that pump ur running ? how`s it do when it`s a 100 out side ?

It could be 120 out it wouldn't matter. It is paired with a Be Cool radiator and twin fans.

Information about your
Water Pump

Q: Do you recommend the use of CSR Water Pumps for street use?
A: Yes, a large percentage of pumps are sold to street users.

Q: How do I wire my water pump and what size wire is recommended?
A:We recommend that the water pump be wired and fused separately. A #12 gauge wire minimum with a 15-amp fuse minimum. An adequate chassis ground is required Blue wire, positive, 12v, black wire is ground. Do not ground to anodized or powder coated surfaces.

Q: What is involved in installing a CSR Water Pump on a late model with a serpentine belt system?
A: Most of these applications are a direct bolt on utilizing a shorter belt.

Q: I have installed a CSR Water Pump and I can hear the motor running but it is not circulating water. What could be the cause?
A: Check for air somewhere in the system. Fill the system from the highest point such as the intake manifold or the radiator hose while the pump is running.

Q: What is the life expectancy of the electric motor?
A: The motor should be replaced at 3500 hours or 50,000 miles of everyday use.

Do not run water pump on a closed thermostat. A restriction ring must be used.

To move wire to any position: Water pump motor can be rotated by removing the 4 black bolts on the top of the motor, brush plate and magnet ring must be rotated together.

We no longer have parts for any of the old 3 bladed impeller style water pumps.

A water pump with serial number starting with a letter is our new style pump requires a hose adapter fitting with a 1-1/16-20 FIP . The pump with all numbers for serial numbers will have 3/4" FIP hose adapter fitting.

LOL, yea... gets it hot on the island as well. I do notice Texas can be a good bit hotter and with longer waves of heat.
That's why I wondered.

Also it's worth mentioning that since I've bought mine they now offer a reverse cooling model as well.

I use a CSR pump that I bought used for $150. Been working like a champ.

Wanna sell it Lol.
Do you happen to have the part number maybe would like to know if your getting by with the lower 35 gpm. If so saves quite a bit of cash
