Coming from import cars is how I am familiar with their products and nice to see some Mopar love...

Aeromotive’s new classic Mopar Stealth tanks bring the fuel system technology you find in today’s cars to your classic Mopar muscle car. By placing the fuel pump inside the tank, hot fuel handling issues, such as vapor-lock and cavitation, are eliminated. With the Stealth fuel tanks from Aeromotive, you now have an in-tank fuel pump that is properly vented and submerged in fuel at all times due to the innovative baffling system. Whether your ride is carbureted, EFI or a transplant, a Stealth Fuel Tank is the perfect upgrade.

The following part numbers are now available for classic 1970-74 E-Body Mopars such as the Challenger, Barracuda and 1970-76 A-Body Mopars such as the Dart and Duster.

18342 Fuel Tank, 340 Stealth, 70-74 Challenger
18343 Fuel Tank, 340 Stealth, 70-74 Barracuda
18344 Fuel Tank, 340 Stealth, 70-76 Dart/Duster
These tanks feature the fuel pump built right into the tank itself, as well as an internal baffling system to ensure the pump is submerged in fuel – even at low fuel levels and in extreme driving conditions. With these tanks you’re strapping today’s technology into your classic, making them perfect for modern HEMI swaps and EFI conversions, while also working perfectly with carbureted engines.

Naturally Aspirated Forced Induction
EFI 850hp 700hp
Carb 1,000hp 850hp

Tanks Inc has tanks for the early As. At leas someone cares a little for us poor stepchildren.....

I own a '66 Dart GT and I love it. I will post some photos of it soon. It looks very much like the Dart you posted. By the way, what kind of wheels are you running. I've kept my original steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps and think they add to the vintage look. I added some period beauty bands also.

Don't know why the 70-76 A body tank wouldn't fit the 67-69...they don't have a picture of the A body tank on their site.

We have been selling Tanks Inc tanks for almost 2 years, they cover all Mopars, A,B and C. They come with Walbro GPA pumps.

We have lots of love for Early or Late Mopars !!! Cheaper than Scummit too.

I finished installing the Aeromotive Stealth #18344 in our A-body '69 Valiant last weekend. It fits fine, but Chrysler moved the filler inlet approximately 1.5 inches to the rear for 1970-76, so we cut a small square hole and made it work and easily welded in the small patch. Not a lot of fabrication at all, I'll finish wiring the pump and sending unit it this weekend and start the plumbing.

Is that a tanks inc tank you have there Darr Hawthorne? I have been looking at those, but was not sure if it fit the Aeromotive Stealth pump that I have. If so, then that is great news.

Yes Aeromotive installs their Stealth/Phantom pump and sending unit into a new tank that is built by Tanks, Inc. With the cut and patch we made in the trunk floor we used a flexible line, like one used in NASCAR Late Models.

We inserted a new rubber donut on the tank inlet to connect the metal tube neatly to the tank, since there were two sizes to connect with the flexible fuel filler line I went to a local muffler shop and had them spread the metal tube to 2.25 inches, the inside diameter of the flexible tube. Next is to put a stainless hose clamp on each end of the flexible fuel filler line.

We are installing an aluminum Edelbrock hard line from the tank to the the Aeromotive Regulator #13204 mounted on the engine firewall will hook up to a fuel filter and to the Holley 750 carb. More later.

Thank you very much. I was not sure if the Aeromotive combos were the same as the Tanks Inc tanks. Make sense, but I didn't want to buy the wrong thing.

Also, you said something about installing your regulator on the fire wall. I'm not totally sure, but I think there is some rule for the drag strip that that regulator not be on the fire wall, because it could be hit by at flywheel/torque converter if they failed. Now I think it's a good spot for looks too, but if you plan on racing. You may check into it if you haven't yet, just so you don't find out after you put holes in the fire wall.

We are running a Quicktime SFI bellhousing and McLeod dual disc clutch with a Passon Performance A833 4-speed, I don't think regulator placement is an issue. I really don't want to run the fuel line above the headers, for possible vapor lock problems, but I will check with a local tech guy.

I totally agree. I don't like the look of it anyways with the fuel lines draped front the inner fender to the carb. I didn't think about the a vapor lock situation.

I just wanted to say something, because I think I read it here someplace, and I hate having to redo something.

I checked with an NHRA Tech guy and we cannot mount a regulator on the firewall, but we are going to mount it directly onto the carb fuel log inline, thanks for the tip though. this is even cleaner, just need to order the correct AN fitting!

Got more done Saturday, pulled the tank out to finish the wiring and start the hard lines from the tank and return. Repainted the rear end and did a little more undercoating before it all goes back together.

We are trying to have it all done and ready to race at Mopars and Muscle Cars at the Strip in Las Vegas April 21-23.

That's awesome to know about being able to mount the regulator on the fuel log. I have seen that done on a fuel injection log, but not a carb log. I will have to do that when I get my carb body back.

Also, I just got my Tanks Inc tank in the mail the other day, and tried my Aeromotive pump on it. They must ether have a different design on the new pumps or since I bought the flex fuel one, it is just physically bigger that the hole in the tank for the pump is. But, no big deal, I will just have to make the hole bigger.

There are three different sized Aeromotive "hats" - a smaller one comes installed on top of the Stealth Performance tanks, the slightly larger one on the Phantom in tank system and the dual Phantom with two 340 pumps. Mine is the smaller "hat", it came with the pump and fuel sender installed into a Tanks tank. Well that would make sense about the the top. Mine is the 450 flex phantom. I had bigger plans when I bought it.

That log is cool, but man it must be made of gold. It costs more than my pump did.

That log is part of a kit that includes regulator, fittings, pressure gauge and the log. I should have gotten the kit instead of one piece at a time.
