Hit the swap at 0700, beating 95% of the swappers in and dutifully walked the ever expanding swap for the next 3 hours, pausing at every trailer unloading its wares. I observed some hard core shoppers helping vendors unload their stuff sooner than later so they could get their Moparts fix; Oh the sickness! By about 0930, even my wallet was pulsing as I pondered what I could load into the back of an SC400. I quickly disqualified out the big stuff: Fenders, bumpers...engine blocks, and concentrated on the small stuff. I returned to a guy that I took a picture of on my phone and scooped up a single 5 1/2" SBP Rallye rim that was thought to be unobtainable as a single for a mere $30 bucks. I then cut across 2 rows and zeroed in on an MSD 8982 timing control for another Jackson. $50 down, $50 to go. I passed by a Milodon gear drive for the 7th time giving the guy a questioning look every time, telepathically asking him if he would come down to my prior offer, but never getting the nod. Quickly switching to my secondary target, I bee-lined to a guy with a set of custom 8 inch wide 14" SBP steelies that were made for an Autocross '66 Barracuda (so I had a chance that they would actually fit) and laid down the other 50, unopposed by my thrifty conscience. I silently pondered the remaining set of 4 7" SBP customs that the guy had, but my reserve $100 was dead still..not today. I called a truce between my wallet and my conscience and hefted my loot back to my car across the street in 2 loads. As my forearms were still aching from the heavy rim haul, I removed the heavy flannel that I was wearing and felt the cool breeze on my damp undershirt. Shopping is tough work! With a new sense of vigor after a job well done, I treated myself to a leisurely stroll through the 6 rows of other peoples projects that were far enough to ambulate to the show under their own power, minus the few trailer queens that were being shaded by their own tent, disgusting! So for a junkie who went to score a set of new L/R 7/16 acorn lug nuts, I walked away with a turbo timing retard and 3 more rims, still without lug nuts to hold them on. Counting down the 6 months until Fall Fling, starting.....NOW!

You are gone already? WE never got a chance to meet! I'm staying at the AirTel!

It was fun. I hit a little rain on the way there, but the fresh coat of wax helped.

I took a pic of the 65's radio right next to you. Kern, it was a last minute schedule change at work so I didn't even think I was going at all this year. Did anyone happen to see the white $900 big block A manifolds? Ha, good luck at a swap meet. That yellow 440-8 Dart across from you: I followed that guy 70 miles, all the way from my house! Literally the first light I see him trailering that thing and I had never seen it before. Says he never gets it out and is selling it so its probably never left the garage.

I seen a couple dudes, one in plaid, rolling 2 tires, msd box of something...nah probably wasn't you.
I said to myself this year I'd stick to necessity, and not 'greed' or 'speed' type parts... so I bought door seals, lenses, bump stops etc.

There were some items that were interesting and/or deals..

Great write up pishta...Lol
Saw those rims you bought, and pretty much everything else.
Got there about the same time, 0700, found a nice spot on the street.
First up, watching Steve park the swap meet cars, busier than a one legged man in an *** kicking contest. :) Wasn't looking for anything in particular, just more parts, for no particular reason. Just so I can look at them in the garage I guess.
I was looking for another project car, you know because 3 Darts isnt enough. Didn't find one, wife was relieved. Checked out the cars in the show area. Waited later on in the day, where everything heavy drops in price. Found a couple 15" steelies for a song. Ended up getting out of there, without breaking the bank, with some cool stuff. Jumped in the car, I'm out.
Another Spring Fling in the books. Always a Great day. :)

Oh, okay...No biggie. I just came back to the hotel to rest and read that you were here. I recall selling you something a couple of years ago and thought I'd like to meet. Do you ever go to the San Joaquin Valley show in the fall?

I think you hooked me up with that 273/4 intake. Those W2's were like $1200? , "I want $1200 for the entire package.." Where are the rockers? "I didnt get them.." Oh, shame. Same guy had had 3 roller cams too? It's all good.

In particule saw a lot of 68 Dart parts. 5-6 fenders, 3-4 rear trim panels, GTS door panels with emblems, 5-6 grilles and headlight bucket....

Friend bought nice 68 complete grille assy and 4 headlight bucket (2 are hammered) for $200. Also bought 031 68 radiator for $100.

Some pics:

I had him at -750 for heads/-100 intake, they were opened up big time...but like most, they probably killed the lower lift...and 2.19 intake valves... the other guy had a set of them as well...not ported to hell and back, with intake -650 that guy had a roller sitting there and an 850 -100, tiny base circle.
No one had rockers this year.

I also spied a set of Edelbrock heads slightly used...but they were asking 1200 ....in mind they're worth 900 used maybe.
I saw one nib procomp...400 assembled.

I went there looking for a 71 Challenger grille for a friend. For years you had your pick with at least 4 or 5 for sale. My buddy recently had an OWL fly into his car and it busted out one side. I only saw 1 grille this weekend for $1500 !

Those were a set that I missed! Price was definitely high.
I was interested in the pair that had the roller cam, springs, intake and 850 holley. $650 was the quote I got on everything. I even asked twice if that was for it all and he said yes, that he was a big block guy and had no need for any of the small block stuff.
I went back to my selling spot and talked it over with my better half as I didn't have all of the money. She is very involved with my bad habit so she decided to go look at them her self.
The guy selling them was very condescending to her. Treated her like the "dumb girl". She was very willing the buy them for me if he would have spent some time talking to her and not blowing her off. Oh well! Lost sale!!

That package was also $1200 from the start of the swap meet sat 0730. Guy must have walked it down somewhat from his first offer. Mtn Thunder, didnt you sell a single W2 years ago here?

I did sell a single head and a pair of heads on here. A year or so ago. That experience on used W2 heads was very educational. LOL!!

That one guy with the 3 intakes side by side (Weiland that looks like an LD4B, Performer RPM, and the single plane intake) was asking for $125 each. I was tempted to buy the Performer RPM for my engine as it probably flows better than my port matched LD4B, but by then I only had $80 in my pocket.

There was another guy selling some brand new 335/40/18 Nitto 100TW tires - $200 for the pair, but I couldn't figure out a way to effectively put them under the Dart. :p
