This headline was always expected, I guess:

Keep the Dodge Demon off our roads

Haha read the following stories they have. Or just the titles like I did. They all seem like asshole, everyone is the same type of bullshit and should all have collars on and be led like sheep. **** them and everyone else who wants to turn us all into drones. We are all individuals and different and should be able to express ourselves how we want.

It's a bs bunch of idiots. I left them a response to their editorial, which wouldn't have gotten a passing grade in my Jr high newspaper class. It's got barely legal tires, and "monstrous" acceleration, oh no! Better crush them all! Hahaha!

Never any doubt that someone would eventually boohoo the car... TFB for all of them. Just a feel good exercise for the nay sayers and fuel on the fire for folks like us.... Damn it - - now I really REALLY want one!!!

Crybabies.
I don't see any car being any more dangerous than some dick doing 20 under the speed limit in his POS Prius and not using his signals to change lanes.
(which by the way happens every day here)

Hate to break it to them but ISIS in a moving truck is way more dangerous.

Cars like that generally spit out shitty drivers before they can go fast enough to do a whole lot of harm, and most idiots can't afford it anyway.

"Hey yall, watch this". That can be said behind the wheel of the Fiat 500 too.
We have the right to make our own decisions, good or bad, live and die as we please. So long as we don't harm others in the exercise... But, there has always been and always will be someone who wants to infringe on the rights of others. It's their fear that inspires them, "I'm afraid of your religion." "I'm afraid of your gun." " I'm afraid of your dog." and new today, "I'm afraid of your car."

To my knowledge, the only reason the NHRA banned it is it doesnt have a roll bar.
Leave it up to all the libretards to decide how we should live.

Ahhhh. Most will just be garage art. Few will be totaled a first day of ownership buy dumbasses that can't handle the power and a handful will be pure drag cars.

I bet Some tart wrote this using their iPhone while driving a Prius, sipping a Starbucks venti latte and weaving all over in the left passing lane at 45 mph.

I generally agree with you, but on this one, I say no flipping way.

Once FCA sees how fast that initial run sells, they'll go to make as many as they can. They ain't here to make friends, you know.

This does increase the odds of them ending up in places they shouldn't be.

I feel more safe with someone driving a Dodge Demon Hellcat than I do these idiots who text and drive.

I dont see the big deal with the NHRA rule. Sounds like you have to pass tech. Just like everyone else. I think you need a bar at 11:50.....Ya? Im no pro though so feel free to educate me on why they even have to say that it needs a bar/on, off switch/, driver needs a jacket and it needs a fire suppressant system. Right? Doesnt every car running that fast supposed to have these things?

Its been awhile since Ive ran so please be gentle. Rules change. I hope the brake cleaner hasnt erased everything.

Recognizing the safety-inspired design and construction of today’s late model vehicles, the NHRA has actually rescinded its previous guidelines for street vehicles running 9.99 to 11.49 that required the use of a roll cage or roll bar, now permitting unaltered, 2008 and later model hard top vehicles to compete as they come from the factory without the addition of said roll bar/cage. The amendment, as its phrased in the NHRA’s 2012 to 2013 amendment document states:

Oh.....Yeah, I would be in the dark on that one. Thanks! Not that this is an excuse, but the newest car I ever owned was a 95.

The car companies used to under-rate power ratings all the time, I wonder why they shot themselves in the foot with this one. They must have known the rules...just say that it ran 10.00. Just to be able to play. I guess its all marketing. Not many people seem interested in going to the track with their brand new car. So being the fastest on the road is the draw. They could sell it with a trip to the skid pad so the buyer could at least have SOME experience with a machine like that......

Thanks ABODYJOE

Just another one of the many useless click-bait articles found on the internet these days...

In my experience, Subaru and BMW drivers. Never use their blinkers, tailgate harder than a frat boy at a football game, and have no problem hopscotching lanes even around big rigs. By my numbers, 60% of subarus and 75% of BMWs are guilty of this

Not useless to Automotive News though. I bet this little gimmick got them more traffic than a quarter's worth of legit content.
I bet a dollar to a donut, that article was written by a chevy driver, or maybe even a ford boy. they have to take their hottest and hand build it to do what the hellcat demon will do off the assembly line.
