American Racing - Torq Thrust D -- Old vs. New ?

-
Might had been just a fad I guess? When everyone and their brother wants something seems that something is always expensive. Like a new arrival of the latest Playstation for example. Then time goes on... nobody wants it... and the price drops. Just a guess.

That is a good price. I'm not an authority on them but at that kind of difference I might suspect where they are made or possibly over stocked.

I am old school and those are my type wheels. bought 2 few weeks ago. great price, free shipping, I could not go wrong. now, if I could get some mini lites for that price.

I just. Bought four. 7's and 8's. Fit and finish is excellent and the balanced very nicely.

Torque thrust D's

ya when items don't move , they move to the sale rack , that rim design has been around for some years now , could be on the chopping block , i've seen other designs get dropped by american racing equipment . but now its american racing performance . selling american racing equip rims . it would be nice to see some different offsets used besides a 1'' pos 15v8.5 , they would fit more of the vintage cars . i'm talking one piece design rims of course .

barrbee6043 , mini lites , the vintage version like they ran on the t/a's on the road course . flat center lug area with eight spokes ?

yes, I have seen some ( I believe) new versions shown on someone's car on FABO. not sure who made them. I always liked them.
yes Am Racing thorq thrust have been around since the 60's. that makes them cool. ! ( I was around in the 60's BUT I am NOT cool!) ha again

the old ones look better than the new ones , that have a curve to the spokes,---I think. the thing I don`t like about them is their weight.

New ones being torque thrust two?

The ones I bought, torque D, the same as the original torque thrust, appears to be the same design in every way as the original. Also I find that the steel wheels are heavier than these?

-- This is what I referred to - Summit. --

American Muscle also dropped the price of their 17x8 bullitt wheels so it might be do to more people going more toward the pro-touring style wheels over the 5 spokes

the vintage rim guys call them , '' new breads '' . and barbee6043 , those rims minilites were the rim that was run on the 76 n 77 t/a challengers , internet at my fingers showed them both running them . but i think those were magnesium versions on them . i have a pair of 15v8.5 , but no set . could post pics , if wanted ?
