Pick this up yesterday.. 1971 Swinger, Slant 6, 904, 7.1/4.
Waiting patently is a 390 stroker, a 727, and 8-3/4 Sure Grip.

That said, I'm considering EFI and a centrifugal blower on a Slant 6, with the 904, and the 8-3/4. Strictly for the street, though, and for local car shows.

I'm guessing drums and small bolt pattern.
So you must be contemplating something else besides what you mentioned.

Two options.
Opt. #1: Pull the drive train, and replace it with the 390, 727, 8-3/4.
Opt. #2: Stay with the slant, and 904 ( beef both up a little). swap the 8-3/4 in, and redo the slant with Centrifugal supercharger, fuel injection.

SWEET ! Looks to be in good condition.

The body and the upholstery are done. Needs carpet, bow headliner, and the dash can use some TLC.

Except for seats ( which I don't need), headliner and carpet, I have an entire blue interior, and an entire black interior. including steering columns, dash, package tray, side panels, door panels, sail panels, kick panels, dash pads. air vents, etc. I'm in no rush... This one is my retirement project.

Congrats on the absolutely beautiful car. I am also a 71 Dart Swinger owner.
When was the paint done? It seems to be missing several of the emblems:
Swinger on both front fenders
Dart on both front fenders
Dodge on driver's side of the hood.

Ok. My bad.
I've done the Moser axle replacement on one 8 3/4 which got me the big bolt pattern and wider rear because the brake shoes were then upgraded to 2 1/4 "modern" ones.
But the car already had big bolt patter front disk.
I've got another 8 3/4 housing on stand by in case the 8 1/4 in another A body of mine ever goes south or something. (Duster quarters need the wider stuff I think.)
I just assumed you were going to go with large bolt pattern.
But it sounds like you may be keeping the small bolt pattern rear which IIRC all A body 8 3/4s were.
Good deal.

Nice find Frankie! I will vote for option #2. That blower on a slant is something you don't see everyday and would be really cool. It would be a blast to drive as well.

THAT is my very first car, just imagine green on green on green !! Right down to the hubcaps. I like it.

Looks like a great start!
Honestly, i would do the V8 upgrade with all off the goodies, but that's me...........
