I need a new carpet, but where do I turn too?
Need the original looking carpet with heel pad, but no jute padding.
I came across this company, STOCKINTERIORS, (SC possibly) who custom make them after order has been placed. Maybe they can have one made without the padding…
Anyone familiar with this company?
Price is not an issue in this case.
Thank you.
Stefan

A.C.C. is one of the main suppliers. They build the carpets many places then sell. Often these places will not stock them but have them drop shipped directly from A.C.C. Check pricing, it can vary a surprising amount.

Stock Interiors is the retail side of ACC carpets who make the large percentage of all carpet available for our cars. Good Luck with your project.

Thank you all for taking the time.
Well I didn´t say, but I also need a piece for the rear seat delete, and noticed Stockinteriors sell by the yard as well.
Now that I got some good words about them, as I was hoping for, I will call them about my needs.
Thank again...

if you dont mind updating the thread when you rear delete id be interested, as i did the same, was going to make something out of standard automotive carpet but if they sell it by the yard i may go that route too!

Thanks,

Kris

Suppose you have this all figured out by now, anyway finely I got this sorted out.
Dantes has now made me a carpet less jute backing and will add a yard to cover for the rear seat delete. Roll is 6 foot wide, and that´s wide enough...

I'm looking at some carpet for my 66 at Stock Interiors but I need to pick the material I want and I'm no carpet expert. Does anyone know what the best is from the list below?

Plush Cut Pile
Ultra Plush Cut Pile
Neon Cut Pile
80-20 Loop
Nylon Loop

Stock interiors will send you samples. It just depends on what you want. I think the original carpet for cars of this era was 80-20 loop if you want to retain factory look.

Just about everybody resells ACC carpet. Shop for the lowest price. I bought mine from Rock Auto. They were the cheapest with the cheapest shipping at the time. Get the mass backing option. I cheaped out the first time and didn’t get it. The second time I got the mass backing and the carpet held its shape a lot better and seemed easier to work with.

I also installed dynamat (actually Noico, a Dynamat clone which was a lot cheaper from Amazon). That really quieted down the car inside.
