Budget racing the old nuts & bolts

Just drove thru Portland on Tuesday.....heading west on I 84

Your killin me! We live only a couple miles off 84. Was home all day just grilling for my wife and I. You wouldn't be the first member to swing by for a half hour/45 min. to stop and BS and put a face to a name if you were so inclined.
Anyways with a little notice there's always a lawn chair under a shade tree in my yard and a cold beverage (likely non-alcoholic sorry) waiting for you here...
For a weary traveler LOL....

Sorry....I was heading East...LOL....Columbia River Gorge...now in Twin Falls..

Good Lord I think yellow rose describes himself as living out that way watch out for snipers!
Oh yeah Twin Falls, I remember that was like the halfway point between here and Las Vegas. The last time I drove there we actually stayed at a hotel in Twin Falls going each way the same one with a nice pool.

UPDATE :
This motor and transmission continue to make me laugh LOL pretty darn consistent and did some damage at the Mopar Nationals. Got taken out of the first round of eliminations but ran the first round losers class and took a couple of rounds there before I got taken out. Had a great time and actually won my second round of eliminations for the first time and an actual second round win which was a jinx breaker because the last time I (actually the only time) I won a around the next round I broke my rear end. So it was nice to go a couple rounds with no major problems. It's funny that this $50 Craigslist motor is one of the most punished taking Motors I've ever had in my life. I mean I really really have no respect for this motor and I torture it completely and it just comes back and idles to bumpity bumpity bumpity. Now it's starting to gain respect for sure.

Nice! Now tweek it until your into 13's..... and then you'll need a helmet

Unfortunately it has a roll bar in it so I have to wear a helmet anyways. I'll take care of that this winter when I cut that roll bar back out.

What broke on the Dana?

Well kind of yes or no as far as legalities go I think one time I got below 11:5 and it was at PIR and I think they're time machine was off or something because I've never gotten traction there.
I think I'm going to want more Street Duty out of this car and I want to make it more comfortable. My plans next spring are to cut the roll bar out and put a full interior in it. Which I have of course.
With that said the true honesty is it usually gets more Street Duty in actual time Driving. And roll bar isn't safe for that. I've been toying with this car for I guess a little over 3 years now and I'm kind of deciding I want to drive a little more on the street and give it some more Street manners. And don't fret this isn't taking me off the drag racing forum for one second. I'll be drag racing it for sure. Just one hell of a lot more comfortably. I'm even looking at some kind of aftermarket air conditioning! I am not comfortable in that hot *** car. Remember my first love is snowmobiling when it gets over 85 on the track I'm ready to go home and/or turn on the AC. That should be a clear indication of my age also LOL

I would love to drag race this 73 duster with my 73 duster with my $50 Craigslist 318 ???

It could be I was texting a friend last night about his combination because of your thread on the 360. He has a 73 duster like mine and a stock 360 with a 4 Barrel and a 727 transmission 323 gears. If you look at that row of eight timeslips I brought from the Mopar Nationals up here in this thread the 4th time slip was the last practice pass and my friend and I raced each other and it was a great race and we had a lot of fun and I would say it was the best race of the day. And you know me I'm screaming and yelling Yahoo at the top of my lungs and floorboard in the car and Reving way up next to him and he's laughing and shaking his head and I'm screaming and yelling Yahoo and Reving the cars till the valves float LOL. I think he treed me, but I out 60ft and out eighth of a mile, but then he pulled away at the big end with the big cubes LOL

If gears and weight were equal, you might be in trouble.... :(

Wait, aren't you going to need the roll bar in it to race YR? You gotta leave it in long enough for that race. Although he doesn't have one so maybe you won't need it?

That's a laugh! It's took two years for us to get yr to put a picture of his car on the internet let alone actually show up somewhere and race LOL no absolutely not I do not do anything to my car in any preparation for yr. Again I only have one time slip just barely below 11 and a half seconds and I do believe that was a false reading.

Gets to take here special shoe off today and start walking around normal. One must learn to walk before they drag race! LOL

Don't give up on me yet. Mother in law is actually doing well on chemo...so far. She has at least 6 months and up to 9 months of it.

If things would settle down for a month I could get caught up and then things would happen.
