If so that sucks. Mike is great guy, knows his stuff too.
Thanks / called him about 6 months ago about building a small block and was going to get serious toward end year and could not find his website to see what his latest -greatest

From what I've read on here sounded like he's closed up shop and got a regular job. For his family to have health insurance. I would've loved to have a motor from Mike. Dustin

Dang. I wonder if his solid roller lifters are still available.

I was looking at mine tonight while working on my 340 and it hit me that they may not be available anymore

More then likely those are made by an outside vendor ....so they should be available somewhere....

I think Hughes has the lifters. They are called Pro Sport 1000 I think. They also have a BAM in the part number. Not sure if they are exact same or not.

Can't seem to get on their website / has he changed the name or out of business?
Mike went on to a different type of green pasture. Family issues cause him to take up another job. He regrets leaving what he loves to do and even more so that it was not just the field of work but it was in the field of MoPars he loved so much. He loved building engines, period. But the family is allways more important.

We all wish him the best and already miss him.

We all have day jobs plus work on our cars...Does not mean he can not become a contributing member of FABO....some people out there that bought engines might need some info on them...

like went companies advertise life time warranties.....whose life time....the product...yours or the company that sold you the product..LOL

I think he'll come back to the page eventually. I know he's really hurting over having to shut down so it may just be too stressful/painful for him to be a member here currently. Give it time, he'll come back.

Mike worked with me over the phone and sold me all the components I needed to build my 416 340 stroker motor. Just had it dyno tuned on a Mustang dyno. Pulled 350 horsepower and 512 lbs of torque at the rear wheels. I asked for a nice street car and I am very happy with the choices he made for my car. Thanks Mike.

Damn damn.

mind posting that build? that's impressive torque! With the right gears I bet that's a fun ride!

Same here.we talked over the phone for my 408 build.i live in California so I could not just drive to him.he had no problems answering my questions and giving me advice.

I did something very similar with Mike. Phone consultation with Mike of what I wanted and then I bought all the parts from Mike. I called it a "remote build". It is an MRL solid roller 408 that came out very nice! Mike did up the heads also, it was his top level port polish head build, 2.08 intake valves and Hughes 1.6 rockers. He shipped them to me, then I installed the Hughes rockers & Smith Bros. push rods.

He helped me too. Trying to find the right cam and he came through big time with unselfish time and professional advice, so of course I bought all the parts from him. Buy the right lottery ticket please, Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
