I'm looking at getting a new 850 carb and have been looking at the Proform and Quickfuel carbs. I hear that these 2 carbs use some of the same components. My question is what is the different between the Proform Race carb, Quick Fuel Q series and the Quick Fuel Race series?

The ProForm is a bit cheaper and just as good or better.

Been using a Quickfuel 850 on 2 different engines for 6 seasons BEST carb I ever bought not one single issue with it:thumbsup::thumbsup:

About the only differences I can see between my Proform 750 and the equivalent Quickfuel carb is the price, and the sticker on the top.
I do wish I had gone for the 850cfm though.
I picked up the Proform brand new for $335, but prices seem to have gone up since last year.

Yeah, the $335 sound pretty low. A buddy bought a PF 750 about a year ago and I think he paid $550 so you got a smoking deal.

I bought from JEGS and had them price match a 20% Advance code. What can I say? I'm a cheap bastard.

A guys gotta do what he can when building one of these overpriced parts sucking cars. Personally I`d go w/ a quickfuel myself tho.

I bought a QF Q-750 several years ago, it was built using Proform parts. I've never had a Proform but will say my QF was pig rich everywhere. Get in touch with Dom (Thumperdart) on Moparts.com, he can build you a carb that will work very well out of the box.

Hmmm..mine has performed flawlessly right out of the box, only have to change jets for weather conditions..

I've had mine on an ARF and it's correct from idle right on up through. Seems if it's super rich it may be a tuning issue.
