I just got my W2s and Custom solid roller back from Ryan .
This is for a 408 hooked to a 833 in a 69 Swinger. I am going for a street strip sleeper.. I plan using TTI W2 Race headers and a single plane intake (undetermined) .
I was surprised at the amount of lift !

Whats your thoughts?

Compression is 9.7 and chambers are polished and CCd closed chambers.

It should be a fun ride, with that cam I'm not sure it's going to be much of a sleeper. lol

Ooooooo, I like the spec’d cam numbers. I think that’ll be really nice for the description you gave.

This is the kind of stuff I often state about cams. Get it the duration for what your looking to do with as much lift as you can get it in.
This is in the rpm range of the street strip aspect and lots-O-lift to take advantage of the heads flow capabilities. By the time you figure in lash and valve train geometry loss, the lift should still crest .600, no problem IMO.

Get the package set up to perform in the arena your looking for!
Granted! Not the easiest thing to know from scratch.
I like what Ryan did.

I have Crower Xtreme duty offset cup roller lifters which I hope will help with geometry.
I am really excited to see what the powerband and personality of this motor turns out to be. I will definately have to dyno this one.

Any guesses as to what the powerband will look like? RPM limit ? Idle?
I really dont know cam tech well enough to totally visualize the performance aspects of the final result.

i guess peak torque slightly above 5000 rpm....peak power between 6500 and 6800 rpm. But to be honest i have no clue about the W2 capabilities ;-) What i know is it will be real strong.

I initially planned on using a W2 Dual Plane because I really wanted a stockish appearance under hood. Now I have decided to go single plane.

Victor maybe?
Anyone have a ported single plane W2 intake?

I would look to ether the MP unit or the W2, Holley Strip Dominator. The Victor likes more rpm as I have been reading.

Or put a tunnel ram on that beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooootch and let it rip.
Nobody would notice that... Lol
Im not sure where this cam will rev out.
Its an interesting combo of big and little.

I was really expecting around .570 lift...

Dying to here (and feel) this run !

1st I need to find a competant shop to do the short block.... Urgh..

Here are the numbers Ryan got on my W2s with a 2.08 intake valve
And the custom Comp cam I am going to run. Strip car only though.
Regarding your combo I would say don,t miss a shift lol.

That was a stage 2 port I assume.
Yes it was. Interesting comparing the numbers. Yours almost max out
At .600 lift. Mine stall at that lift and increase again at .650.
These heads like lots of lift. I ran my heads before on a 344 unprotected and these heads really rpm fast.

They do like RPM.. I ran a 360 with self ported W2s and that motor revved quick. Had to set shift light around 7k to keep from hitting 8k.

Cam grind is , nice.. It's strong enough, to run 6500 plus, out the back door...

Yeah... No one that knows cars will think its a 15 sec. car but I like a stock look and it will suprise many when it clicks off a 10.8 et.

Looks like the Holley or Victor are good choices for intakes.... Any feedback on intakes?

246 and 250 @ .050 on a 108 ain't no sleeper.
