Original Super Stock HEMI Barracuda BO29

the tunnel ram Hemi ran Modified Standard here in Sweden in the eighties. We later adapted to the NHRA Classes.
The cars here today run in the SS/HA class. Must be hard to get parts for the Hemi in Sweden.

Yes, and we adapted the NHRA Divisions I should say.
Well, used parts is rear and far between. New no problem. Back in the day it was as easy as with you guys in the US.
I 1978 is simply ordered one from a guy who imported used cars and a few month later I had this ´66 engine and trans. $1200.00 if I do a simple conversion. Also a ´68 GTS 340 auto. This is the same car you see above, with Tunnel Ram.

Really don´t know how they did this. But back then, in 1969, these cars didn´t have the value they have today. It would surprise me if much was used from the wrack… and most if not all the special parts probably were still available, so my guess is they simply build a new car, with or without the BO29 vin plate, since there is no vin plate on a Body in White? Right?
I got to see the car a few time here in Sweden, but can´t remember anything special about it. Back then we all thought the car was a factory Super Stocker.
About the door window not broken… The original window may have been replaced with Plexiglas.
Picture is from a Car Show in my local town 1979-80
Note PLYMOUTH Delete :)

I would think they would strip the down car take all the good stuff and junk the body. Like you said back they didn't think these cars would be so collectable today. The picture below is I believe to be the new car. Now the million dollar question is the new car another BO29 or a Barracuda made with the old parts of the Heads Up.

My guess is this paint job is one prior to the Heads Up. Has PLYMOUTH on the front clip first and for most. Also rear steel wheels, exhaust pipes... But just my guess...

It must be the 68 season paint job. A lot of the cars chance the paint jobs every year

From what I understand, a new car was build and sold to Norway, were it campaigned for a few years in the eighties, than back to the US.
Note simulatity in colors.
