Hello ATX locals!
I'm in the process of moving to your fine city, so I thought I'd put a shout out and see how many FABO folks we have in Austin.
So... who is here and what are you driving?
See you around town!

Welcome! What area are you moving to?
There's quite a few members around town, but I have never met most of them. Mopars are a rarity, and you might see two or three at local shows and cruise ins.
There are more that don't frequent the internet, I hang out with a handful from time to time.

Thanks Knuckle Duster - I'll be in South Park area at least to start. S. 1st & Slaughter. "The Dart" isn't much to look at - but everything under the hood is new or rebuilt, plus suspension, drive shaft, exhaust, etc. New interior and dynamat throughout. Was a daily driver in San Francisco traffic for about the past year until I got my Cherokee.
Hopefully can connect with a scene there that appreciates A-Body's.

Welcome To Central Texas. As KnuckleDuster said there are not a lot of Mopars that I see around at Car Shows/Cruise nights etc. I live in Round Rock and own a 70 Dart, 73 Dart Sport and a 72 Demon. I normally do not bring them to shows. I take them out for an occasional cruise now and then. Neat 64 to by the way. You don't see very many of the 64-66 Darts around. When I was kid one of my neighbors had a red on red 65 GT with a 273 in it. Always thought that was a great combo and super cool car. Welcome to Austin!

Well, I finally made it!
I’m a Texas resident now with my Dart and my Jeep.
I’m looking for a transmission guy and general mechanic if anyone has referrals.
I Would be up to buying beers to meet some Mopar types in this great city...

Take the Dart out and go talk to Rick Scheulen at AAMCO on Burnet Rd. He is a character, but in Austin he is the man you want to know for transmissions.

If the weather is nice some of us meet in Leander on Saturday nights.

Hey Guys, have been here for a long time now. Half way between Austin and Bastrop off highway 71.
When I have time and money I work on restoring my 74 Dart Sport.

Currently I am looking for a 73-76 A Body 8.25 rear axle. its not for my Dart, it is for a totally unrelated project. Spent a lot of time down at John's Salvage near Seguin searching through his pile. No luck.
Anybody have one or know of one around the Austin Area?
