How to install rocker studs included with edelbrock aluminum rpm head?

It appears as if I have to install the 2 rocker studs along with the hardware included on my edelbrock aluminum performer rpm heads. In the installation instructions it doesn’t explain specifics on what hardware goes where when installing the studs, washers, nuts and what appears to be spacers on the heads. There are two rocker shaft pedestals that have to be fitted with the hardware and I need to know in what order the parts go on and where? I have included two pics. One shows the rocker studs and hardware and the other shows one of the rocker’s pedestals it goes on. Any help appreciated.

Looks to me like the two big washers are for the shaft itself to help space it I believe but it's been a long time since I've last touched a set

It sure seems odd that they only gave you two rocker studs and two shims. I've only used all bolts on stock hold downs on stock motors or all studs on either my T & D shafts or my Hughes rockers. Those are very similar looking to head studs in this picture, but they are actually rocker hold down studs.

The course threaded ends go into the head. The large shims are used on the sides of the rocker arms to set-up side clearance on the rocker arms and protect the aluminum stands from wear.

If it were me, I would have a high quality machine shop go over the heads to verify that they are set-up, clearanced and have a high quality accurate valve job, and then call Mike at B3 Racing Engines to assist you with getting your rocker arms set-up properly with the right hold downs and hardware.

Thank you everyone for the input. I think I now understand how everything goes together. The edelbrock heads I’m installing are actually part # 60829 which is BB mopar performer RPM heads with 75cc chambers. I can’t wait to get everything back together. I have added another pic that I looked up when attempting installation. If you look at the diagram it clearly shows that on two the rocker pedestals it is marked with an S. That is where the rocker studs go in. The problem was I didn’t know how everything works together. Especially the thin round spacers. I’m putting my Harland sharps from my 915 heads on. Also I had a trusted machine shop go over everything and do some mild porting. The heads were decked slightly to be true and gone through and they are ready to rock. I’m just still a little unsure of how to fit the spacers. Thanks again.

P.S. For the other rocker hold down points I guess they want you to use the shaft hold downs from the Harland sharp rockers. Not a problem to switch over. Does anyone know if other than the exhaust header bolt holes how many of the head bolts enter the water jackets? If so can I just put some thin white plumbing tape on the threads then put on the ARP fastener assembly lubricant? Do I need anti-seize for the aluminum heads if I’m using the ARP assembly lube?
 
You WILL need to correct the rocker arm geometry. That's a fact.

Call Mike at B3 racing engines and let him help you.

I don't think any of them go into the water jacket on these heads. Use some anti-seize on the exhaust bolts. Brush it on the bolt threads evenly and wipe of the excess. It helps eliminate gauling of the aluminum. Use it on the spark plug threads too being careful not to get it on the end that goes into the cylinder.

I've never found that to be the case when the valve job was done right.

OP - I think the studs are for the two holes where the oil feeds the rocker shaft. Some bolts may limit flow to the rockers. Not sure why you'd get 3 of what look like rocker shims....
 
After indexing and marking the stud you may want to have the stud grooved for oiling. This is done on small block head studs also. We mill a key slot in the side of the stud that lines up with the oil hole for oilng. We just did a set on a 340 with studs. a must for proper oil to reach the top if not using squirters in the valve cover. You can get away with no groove for so long but time will eat the rockers.
