Looking for suggestions for fuel filters..

running the FiTech FCC so I need a low pressure pre filter, and a hi pressure filter.

What's the good, the bad, and the ugly?

Wouldn't you just use a standard fram or wix between the mechanical pump and the command unit?
And the command center should have come with a filter for between it and the throttle body? or you can order it from them.

it's been said the supplied FiTech filter is subpar and passes particles larger than the injectors can pass. Some of them even having the flow direction stamped backwards, I'd rather go to something better than gamble with issues.

as for the standard fram or wix, what PNs?

You should be able to cross reference them for other options

The Wix 33270 is a wire mesh 141 micron filter, I would use the 33033 cellulose 20 micron pre-filter

I use two 1/2" INLINE STEEL FILTERS BEHIND THE TANK, OUT OF DUAL 1/2'' PIPE OUTLETS WELDED TO THE BACK LOWER CORNERS OF MY NEW TANK. THEY ARE REDUCED TO 3/8" PIPE, GO THRU 3/8" SHUT OFF VALVES, THRU THE 1/2" BARBED FILTERS, INTO A 3/8" WYE, AND THEN INTO THE BACK OF MY INLINE / RECIRCULATING FUEL PUMP. HAS THE ORIGINAL NEW -08 LINE AS A RETURN TO THE TANK, W/ THE NEW SOCK CUT OFF. WORKS VERY WELL SO FAR. THE FILTER THAT CAME W/ MY F.I. KIT IS UP FRONT W/ THE REG. ON THE INNER FENDER. ( DIS REGARD CAPS) clumsy typer ! The only thing I`d do diff. is put the outlets a little lower. I didn`t take into consideration , the tank does`t hang level in a 68 fastback. All the above pieces are hot-rodded to look racy .
