Wow you must have had a great grip on a real powerful drill!?

Oil pump tear down and blueprint should be on every engine build list. I think the last time I "just threw one in" was when I was 16 years old.

That's how YOU took it,,not how "I" meant it......and not even your thread.
Every thread is my thread just like every thread is your thread. And yeah that's how I took it not well. you like my mom says I'll get happy in the same shoes I got mad in.

Yeah I should have checked the pump or it was just the last time that priming tool wanted to do it' job....

No matter how you slice it, I'm still fucked...

Oh well. It' just time and money....

Tried the magnet, it' in past the bushing...

This reminds me of my dipstick Fiasco. When the new Stroker motor ate my dipstick and I found the majority of it in the lifter galley. Still pulled the oil pan while the motor was in the car and found nothing! Happy Days!

70 bucks of Joe gibs break in oil. Oil pan gasket. pull engine. 85 dollar HV pump

Good times

A small spot of J-B weld on the end and stick it tap it down on there and let it set overnight and pray...

I know this will be a really bad idea.... drill out the center of the shaft and use an easy-out to get a hold of it. OBVIOUSLY you will have to do something to prevent metal chips from migrating into the engine. Like I said it is a really bad idea.

Really no huge deal. Tons of people don't think about it. I learned the hard way when I was right around 16 and built a 350 Chevy.......and didn't inspect the pump. It was new after all and new is always good, right? LOL

Why? So he won't have to take it apart? Would you seriously advise that? The pump is obviously locked up from something. The pan and pump have to come off and the pump disassembled to find the issue.

But to the OP, it's like I said man, it's not the end of the world. Just do it and git r done.

I can tell you that was the last pump I install with out checking.....

It' just time and money, I've got plenty of both to waist..... :)

Snaggle frigging frackus cork soaking, cookie muncher......

When my Dad got really mad (born in 1920) he used to say: "Son of a Buck!" I wonder where that came from?

When I was a kid and my dad would say that for some reason and image of a deer with a big rack of antlers would always pop in my mind. lol
