73 dart custom
Well-Known Member
Hey... just bought a 73 Dart Custom.. 4 door with slant 6 with almost 50,000 miles on it. Going to try to fix her up and drive it. Will need to replace torsion bar on the driver's side
Welcome from the north west corner of your neighbor state to the east. Nice looking Dart, got any more pics?
Near as I can tell that is the only mechanical issue it has at the moment! I am just trying to find the original size to put back in it but appears that is impossible unless I go with used onesLooks like it has been pretty well preserved, if the broken torsion bar is the only problem it has, you may be driving it in no time.
Thanks!Welcome from Fredericksburg, VA.
Thanks! And congratulations on getting one also!!Seems like the week for four doors...I just scored one this past weekend as well.
Welcome aboard! FABO is a great place to hangout.
Thanks!!Welcome from Canada!
One of the reasons I got her was the /6. I agree they almost can't be blown lolWelcome to the site. Looks pretty solid, and I love the color. It is one of my favorite Mopar colors of all time. For a fun cruiser, it's hard to beat a /6. They will run forever.
Thanks Bruce. Yep, I am mining the site for information already lol. Basically looking to see if I can replace the old torsion bar which is most likely original stock and .087Welcome to FABO..lots of information to be found here and great group of people.
Enjoy.

Thanks Bruce! I will do that... but if all else fails I will go with the bigger bars just to get her back on the ground and rolling. I figure the ride will loosen up in 5 or 10 years even if it is stiff to begin with....most folks say the bigger bars with a slant make the ride very stiff, make sure you look around here and post in the wanted section for the .087 bars..someone may have some lying around.
good luck and enjoy yourself here.
