I'm going to be ordering an MBM 12" disc brake kit, almost an exact copy of doctor diff. So 11.75" disc brake kit, but I want to retain the LH thread studs for the drivers side in the front. Does anyone know a part number for LH thread wheel studs for disc brakes that will work on these 11.75" rotors? Thanks in advance!

Hope someone can help you, but LH studs for OE are few and far between as far as I know they are not reproduced. In looking at the kit it looks like the disk attaches to the hub the same way, so OE LH studs might work. You would need to measure up a stud from your new brakes and see how it compares to the OE studs (left or right hand). A recent post has some measurements for front disk studs or look up front studs at rock auto or the like and see if they have measurements.
(I'm a left handed studer too! Life would be easier if I switched!)

Good luck

I'll look into that, I just bought all new lug nuts and don't plan to switch rear axels any time soon, when I do I'll switch to RH, but I prefer my LH. We'll see if they work. Thank you! Too bad they're so hard to find

If your using the one piece rotor, big bolt pattern, Left hand studs never existed for those things, so you aren't never going to find any.
The end of the lefties, was 1970, and the original rotors were two piece. Rotor, and hub, that the wheel studs, (lugs) held them both together.
Two piece rotors, and the single piece, were two different animals, so the studs were different.

I looked up 1977 Cordoba wheel studs on dorman vs 1967 Coronet drum studs and the only difference is the drums have a .004 larger knurl. Would it be safe to reuse my old drum studs then? They're in good shape and my buddy has a press.

Are you saying the rotors and hub assy in your kit are 1977 Cordoba? there is also the difference in the length of the Knurl the 67 coronet might bite into something you don't want to bite into?

Others here have mentioned that the silver studs seem to be inferior to the blackend color studs available. Look at rock auto and you will see the two color types mentioned. I can't vouch for the strength difference, I'm just reporting what others have said

Cant speak to the .004" larger being an issue or not.. Any machinists out there?

11.75" rotors are from late 70s cordobas etc. 76 up I think I did 77 and 78 abd got the same results for the front.

I see what you're saying. I might have to turn down a bit of that knurl. Idk how that will effect it. If I have to I still have the RH lugs from the original wheels. Not pretty but will work for a bit I guess. :(

I'm almost certain your OEM studs are 7/16 threads. A knurl is a bit like a thread in that it has a outer/major diameter and a inner/minor diameter. Thread ID isn't typically called out either but it is there. Anyway... To do it right you would take from the stud/knurl OD and from the hole ID.

Good catch. is the rest of the car (what car is the kit going on?) 1/2 x 20? is the kit?
Since there was only a 67 Coronet mentioned in this thread... hell I don't know. Why anyone would jump through flaming hoops to retain left hand threads is beyond me.

Well after looking more into it, you're all right. Suck it up and go RH. Unless I have a nice lathe it won't work and thats too extreme. Guess I won't have to worry about getting the studs popped off at Tire discounters after this. I guess I just wanted to feign originality to myself or something. I really do appreciate all the help, even if it lead to a different outcome !

Now the question is, I've never messed with the rear axel wheel studs, do I have to pull it to change them too?

In most case I could drive the rear stud out and draw a new one in with heavy washers and a nut. That was just in replacing a bad or broken stud though. Your different size knurl might be a issue.
Still don't know what vehicle you have.. is it 7/16 studs @ 5 on 4" pattern? If so.. will your wheels fit onto 1/2 studs @ 5 on 4" pattern?
