Attention A-bodies in the North Bay!

Did you all know about the Cars and Coffee meetings in Novato, CA?
Lots of really neat cars but very few Mopars. That said, I counted:
1 1972 Duster
1 1969 Charger General Lee clone
3 1970 'Cuda 340s!
1 GTX
2 1954 Powerwagons
... and my 1968 Barracuda, proudly sporting the only slant six on the lot!

When I left there were easily 300 cars there, from Austins to Lamborghinis to everything in between.

It was super cool, totally nice crowd, it was free, and would be great to get a bigger Mopar presence.

First Sunday of every month (next is 05/07)
8:00 - 10:00 am (get there by 7:30 for a parking space)

That's awesome Trevor! I have a 1972 Duster and would love to talk to other Mopar owners especially the 1972 Duster that was at the event. I'm putting 5/7 on my calendar!

Forwarding this -- I can't make it in the morning, but I might try to get to In-N-Out...

Don't miss out!! TOMORROW @ 10AM is the 3rd Bay Area Mopar Meet & Cruise!! Saturday, April 29, 2017 @ 10am! Classic Mopar's thru '74 only. Bring out your Mopar and sunglasses, weather is going to be perfect!

We will meet at 10:00am at the Moonlite Shopping Center parking lot (near Rite Aid) located at 2620 El Camino Real in Santa Clara. **We will park in the lot near Rite Aid, near the corner of El Camino Real & Bowe Ave.** Sometime after 11:00am, we will begin our Cruise! I will provide a Cruise Route to everyone at the meet, that way nobody gets lost. As we leave the parking lot, we will cruise towards and through downtown Campbell; giving the folks of downtown Campbell a nice show! Next, due to current construction and bad road conditions, we are no longer cruising pass the Normandin Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Dealership. Instead, we will continue our cruise towards the In-N-Out parking lot, located at 5611 Santa Teresa Blvd in San Jose. There is a large empty parking lot next to In-N-Out where we can park and stage our cars! From here, there are many food options that we can walk to (In-N-Out, Pizza my Heart, Armadillo Willys, Mike's Subs, etc).

Thanks for posting this Jim. I recently came across my event t-shirt from '95 and was wondering if this show was still taking place. Unfortunately, I'm already committed to an event at Cal Expo that day. I wish it was taking place the next day. Enjoy.

Is there a show at Cal Expo?

Yes but not an auto event. It's the annual Aloha Festival. My group is backing up one of the hula groups there.
Oh, Very cool! Just might have to check that out. Always looking for family stuff to do in the area. But, then again... It might trigger some pressure for another trip to the Islands from the better half.

That's always a risk you take. It's free admission. Though, Cal Expo charges $10 for parking. Great music/dancing (three stages), food and lots of booths selling merchandise and arts & crafts. It's a good time.

Is there a show at Cal Expo?

FYI: The annual SacAutoShow is from 10/20-22 @ CalExpo. Granted, it's all the new cars but they are having a classic car display in one of the lower buildings. I saw the list of participating clubs but the local Mopar club (Capital City Mopars) wasn't on it.

Not much action here, lately...

Hey, I saw a nice 69 Dart GTS convertible in Menlo Park yesterday. Tried to chase it down but I was on my bike ;(

Yellow with black top and bumblebee stripe.

Anyone going to Spring Fling in Van Nuys? I'll be heading out Friday.

This sounds like a cool event:

I’m in Fairfield and always looking for parts and advise for my 70 Swinger. Are there many other A body owners in the area?

Max, my son and I will be at the Fling on Saturday. Do we have a BOG time to meet?

Not yet, but let's set one. Alan will have a swap space on Saturday (I assume you won't). How about meeting there at 11:30, then grabbing some lunch?

Sounds good. And, no we aren't getting a spot. I've been buried in project creep on a '57 Dodge Coronet front end rebuild (now I get to pull the trans pan because somebody got rough with the kickdown rod and broke it inside the trans) and working part time in a shop while getting my wife to doctors' appointments. I couldn't get the parts together if I wanted to. I should have a spot at De Anza.
