Can the horn switch at bottom of steering wheel go bad? Horn works intermittently depending on where I'm pressing on horn ring. Everything else is good, horn works, relay works, I'm down to horn switch.

It could go bad but first thing I’d do is clean the the copper disc held on by that big semi-circular spring on the underside of the steering wheel. It might have some corrosion on it not allowing good contact with the stud from the turn signal switch - which also includes the wiring leading out to the relay/horn.

On mine i managed some how to break one of those black plastic buttons or caps, that have the springs under them. So now the lower leg of the horn ring sits very close to the wheel and I cannot press there to sound the horn. Have to press by one of the upper arms.
That probably doesn’t help you, but that’s what stops mine from working sometimes

Took it apart today to clean connections, seemed to be working better. Got it back together and left turn signal and taillight aren't working right. I'm ordering a new turn signal harness and replace the whole thing. 50 years old, brittle wire that should do it.

horn pressure switch is bad /traced wiring down /horns/relay/copper ring on wheel good any leads to repo---good used 69 barracuda with rally wheel

This switch is for horns with a button, not a horn ring. The springs are a little weaker, because the button doesn't give the leverage a ring does. Using the button switch with a horn ring can make the horn blow with a slight touch, or even by hitting a bump hard. So, in a Road Runner, your glove box door opens, AND your horn blows!
2771534 is the switch for a horn ring. They don't seem to be as numerous or cheap as 2822126, but there are new and used on eBay ranging from $15 to $125.
