Okay,
So I have my new 418 stroker in the engine compartment and my Champion aluminum radiator installed. The problem I have is that in order to use a mechanical fan and for the shroud to be centered on the radiator core the radiator has to be biased to the passenger side (looks STUPID) So I want to go electric a but I have limited space. I only have 3 3/8" from the core to the bolts on the water pump pulley. The radiator dimensions are: Core 21" x 17 5/8" Radiator core + tanks 26" x 18 5/8. I am betting that I will have to mortgage the house to find a radiator/shroud assembly to fit this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys

there's some thin fans out there or you could run pusher fans. Champion was selling a shroud and fan kit for a decent price, if not, rob some from a junkyard and make a custom shroud

When I ran a smaller radiator I ran 2 fans. One puller and one pusher .

There are a few companies that make shroud/fan combos specifically for the Champion radiators. For the EC374 I have, I bought these two kits off of eBay:

ALUMINUM RADIATOR FAN SHROUD FITS CHAMPION CC374 MC374 EC374 AE374 W/ 12" FANS
Dual Electric Cooling Fan Wiring Install Kit 185/165 Thermostat 50 Amp Relay

The shroud itself holds the fans off the radiator about an inch. Then the fans at their center are about 2.5" thick. The fans sit side by side and are only about 1.5" tall near their edges so toward the center of the shroud/fan combo you should have good clearance.

I also run an OEM double, 2 speed fan. It's from a 2000-04 Ford Focus. It does take some cutting and fitting to remove some of the plastic on the sides, but it's a hurricane when on high speed, so I think it's worth it.
