MOPARS AT THE BATTLESHIP

Is the show right at the memorial? I need a break and may make the run down.

Im going to check it out for the first time as a spectator. My sister lives in daphne next town over. It gives me the chance to visit family and check out some Mopars at the same time. It' a win win situation. Have some fun out there.

Trying to make arrangements. Might can drive down early Saturday and spend the night nearby at local hotel. Long one day drive, it is one on my bucket list so this year or one soon.

Got a partner for the early ride from North Ga. looks like a show and just need to get registered.

Last question is the show on the grass or the parking lot and can I assume there is plenty of room for the Dually and Trailer?

Registered and hotel booked. Guess I should uncover it and get to cleaning.

To far and getting through the interstates around Atlanta is to risky. My company provided car takes a beating around here. Never mind trying to find non-ethanol along the way.

Drove mine from Al to Carlise 2100 miles round trip and drive to Cruizin Coast every year. I don't own a trailer, well that is not entirely true I do have trailers to haul dozier and trackhoe because they may chew up the pavement

I do not disagree as it is a car. However it cost lots of $ to get it where it is and the Dually is the most comfortable drive I have. The old Barracuda is fun but not to comfy for that distance. It is cheaper to haul it that distance than drive it and much more comfortable!

I know what you are talking about being cheaper. I drove my GTS with 499" to Cruizing Coast 3 years ago and when I got to Gulfport I was having some electrical problems before I completely rewired it. I turned around and drove back home and got the "decoy" and the GTS costs me $200 gas that one trip. I usually drive the "decoy" on longer trips and it is a good ride. I always wanted to go to Battleship but it conflicts with a gathering I attend each year. Have fun

Wow the show was at least 50% 2009 and up. Not used to that. It was a great show and the weather was awesome. Looked to be 300-400 +. Glad I went but our 75 older cars may be getting pushed out in the modern world.

Hey Gerald, enjoyed meeting you at the show. Also spoke to easyrider there. I agree, too many new cars there for my taste. Still a good show but starting to lose its luster a little.

Are you going to Cecil Ga memorial weekend for Mopars against the world? If so I may finally get to meet you.

As you saw I was stuffed between 2 very nice SRT challengers that were not getting much attention and both thanked us for being there cause it got them some looks. Crazy different that show was.

Hope your 69 gets some progress!

I've been to that show a number of times. There are more new cars every year. I don't quite understand it. I can go to the Dodge dealership if I want to look at new cars.

That is what I am saying. The older cars are fading for some reason and guess us diehards as well. What car did you have there? And did we meet?

Black/tan 65 Dart convert.

Guess I missed you and assume your avatar pic was the car. Was pretty busy and tried to walk the field in stages but think the classics were lost in all the late models. I would have liked to see them arranged by body class.
