So I’ve been working on A 1974 Dodge Dart and I hit a little stumble. Currently my left turn signal indicator work on the gauge cluster but the right side does not. I replaced the fuse to the lights and recently bought a new turn signal assembly do I know the problem isn’t in the column. I also replaced and tested all of the lights before re-installing it. All the exterior lights work, just not the indicator light. Is there something I’m missing?

Check it at the round wire socket on the back of the cluster, as it could be just a lost connection to the pin on the back of the cluster.

I will, where is the wire for the turn signal light coming from? I wasn’t able to trace it on the diagram at my Mopar.com

It comes from the same wires that power your signals, but I don't know where specifically.
I can tell you that on that plug they are right next to each other.

Clean it all with a pencil eraser and then wipe it down.

I could but I’m not sure what goes where so I don’t want to ground a power feed

Grounding a power feed momentarily can only result in making your test light light up.
Turn on the signal that the indicator works and then find the pin that makes your test light flash.
Then turn the other signal on and test the pins on both sides of the one that flashed.
One of those should also make the test light flash.
If it doesn't then the problem is not in the cluster, but in the feed to it from the signal wiring.

Randomly started to work when I started testing lights. It must have just been a poor connection somewhere

The gas gauge on the Wife's 72 Dart did that same thing basically and when I wiggled the round connector on the back of the cluster it started working again.
I am a firm believer in starting wit the easy solutions first.:D

Hey if it works, it works Thankyou for helping

You need to buy yourself a copy of the factory service manual. The 74 is not available for free download that I know of. The 73 is over at MyMopar but the wiring is somewhat different. TS wiring, however should be same

The conductors for the dash indicators come right off the connector for the TS switch. Left and right front should each have two wires right at the connector, one going to firewall and one going to the dash cluster

EDIT actually the dash indicator branches ARE "sorta" shown. They are showing the light green branching off at the bulkhead, and the tan branching off at the TS switch connector, LMAO. I'm sure they connect at the same location, instead.

So Light Green comes in the page, goes all the way up the page to pin 6 of the cluster connector

Tan, LMFAO........comes off the TS switch, goes off the page to the other page, UP THAT PAGE a bit, then goes BACK onto the original page LOL, and on up the page to pin 7 of the cluster connector.

I’ve been using the one on myMopar but have noticed the slight differences. I guess I can’t avoid the inevitable of shelling out the 8 dollars lol
