where should you run booster vaccum ? ported on intake or back of carb.340 street demon carb 750 .484 cam. 2800 stall converters.sometimes it wont idle in gear

Not sure I follow... ported vacuum is not on the intake. Brake booster vacuum connects on the intake manifold, under the carb.

Is the 'not idling' problem happening when you hookup the booster?

so i should run vaccum on port on back of carb.i will plug off booster and see what happens.

Does not matter. Traditionally they were connected to a vacuum T on the rear runner of the intake

The carb port is normally for PCV

Yup. like Del said. Intake for booster and carburetor for PCV.

ok tryin to get this motor tuned .what else can i look at for idling in gear.i have 12-13 in of vaccum at idle in park.idle set at 900 -1000.timing is at 10btc.

Big cam?

If not you have leakage somewhere to include the booster as suspect.

No, "big cam" NOT NEARLY ENOUGH initial timing. You may need to recurve the distributor. You likely want more like 15 initial OR MORE

i found problem im running a street demon 750 i found a adjustment under the electric choke .theres 2 slots rite under air fuel mixture screws i needed to close the throttle plates some more.thanks for your help guys.smoken tires and melten asphalt now
